My take on why Adam appears to be the last idol judge "announced" in the press: Adam got the "pimp spot" again! ;D

Ok, I want to see what Adam would do with this: Or any other Jamiroquai song (yup, big fan here) ;D. But he wouldn't have to wear the outfit, right?

I'd love him to sing something by Regina Spektor. This song, especially, because it's so NOT him, and it'd be cool to hear his interpretation. Also, I want to hear him speak both French and Russian

Amazing I got my wish with so many Queen covers now. "Somebody to Love" was way up there.
Here's one that would be so HOT if he did it!!
"Need You Tonight," by INXS
I'll try to think which vocally challenging, soul-stirring ballad I want. BTW, speaking of duets, they have started pimping Barbra Streisand's new album and I heard her single the other day and her voice is as stunning as ever. If she and A ever did a duet live, that would be jaw-dropping.

Cassie..I also would kill to hear Adam's version of Bring him home. When my mother was ill, I used to drive from my home to hers almost every weekend...the drive took 2 hours and 10 minutes..just long enough to listen to the soundtrack of Les Mis....I did that both ways as a rule [tho confess I sometimes listened to Miss Saigon or The Phantom or Evita]. I would love your opinion on why I find this version so much more moving than the one you posted...even though I agree his voice is almost perfection...in fact, perhaps that is why I prefer this... still, I would truly love to hear what Adam would do with this.... Interesting to play the two versions back to back. Boe has a brighter, lighter tone more focused in his mask, or the front of his face. In that way, he is like Adam. Wilkinson has a darker, more "classically" big tenor tone, with more chest sound and focused further back in his mouth. But, for this song, he delivers much of it in a very, very delicate head voice without any chest resonance. You can hear a big difference between that sound and when he powers it up at the climax with a full voice. Can't tell you why you prefer one over the other, but, I like Wilkinson's better because: 1. The greater "heft" in his voice fits better for an old man --- which is who is singing the song in the play. 2. Abandoning that heft and singing much of the song in that delicate, almost not there head voice brings a poignant intimacy and vulnerability to the song. Here is this strong, tough old man in quiet, solitary prayer to God in the middle of the night. We feel we are eavesdropping on a most private and tender moment. Would be very interesting to hear what Adam would do with it.

What makes you think the single is a current recording?
