Please don't put words in my mouth.I don't hate his back up singers! I have never ever said that! I have been amongst their biggest supporters and when I was one of the few people who had heard them live, NNN and Kimmel, I was the first to come to their support all the time. Talking about backing tracks really has nothing to do with liking or not liking the back up singers. For me it has more to do with the backing sounds and special effects a studio can get that the live instruments can't. I am not trying to put words in your mouth. But if you don't like their sound at his concerts, what would you suggest he do? Have them there but not allow them to sing backup to some songs and use backing tapes instead? Not have them there at all. What? Show me where I said I don't like the back up singers! Show me please! Perhaps you are confused! Backing track does not mean the same as back up singer. Is that what you think?! You are wrong! Backing track is all inclusive, instrumentation, effects, and Adam's backing vocals. I think the way he did Gay and the Matinee were almost a great compromise. Backing tracks to get the effects on the album, but live backup singers too. Adam's backing vocals were just a bit too loud at Matinee, but maybe that was a sound system problem. You realize that except for the acoustic portion of Glam Nation, the entire show had backing tracks? Right? I repeat, I have been among the VJJs biggest supporters. I have no idea where you are coming from right now!

(vocal only) The back-up singers can sing along to the backing tapes with Adam. Some of the songs won't need the backing vocal tapes and some of them will probably be done acoustically. Adam used vocal backing tracks on several of the songs he did live on the Glam Nation Tour.

I have an idea. Maybe until we get news, we could just post this as an alternative to having pages of debate over the meaning of "is" every day while we wait. It says the same thing, but doesn't take so many words. Where the heck is seoulmate again? Damn, I do miss her laughter when she's not "around!" P.S. to kamar - last week during the long debate about Enrique Iglesias' citizenship status, when you were being embarrassed for not knowing the legal requirements of American citizenship? I thought we needed a pop quiz to see how many people knew the legal requirements for Syrian citizenship. It makes me happy everytime you post, no matter what you post. I'm blessed by seeing your name here on the board.

Adam is an International star. His songs are doing very well outside of US. Just saying Yes they are . if we are talking about idol alums adam lambert , kelly clarckson are the only ones played here . oh , and Kelly , they only play "mr know it all" and "stronger" , but for Adam , they play fye , wwfm , tfm , btikm , ncoe . (I'm talking about music videos , not radio , cause in radio they only play arabic music , and right now , they are not even playing music anymore , they are just talking about the explosions that are happening . and another thing : Adam lambert (although not much) but I'v seen his videos in mtv arabia , but I've never seen a JB video in mtv arabia . just saying . oh and teddybear ?? I've ever ever EVER thought you would make a comment like that . a positive comment from you means the situation is truly good and that there's no reason to angst . [/IMG] [/IMG]
Well, then, I would say Adam is doing much better in Syria than he is doing in Chicago. They are playing nothing here. Tigerlily is right, the singles may be doing well in some places, but he is having nowhere near the international success he had with FYE. That doesn't mean things can't change.

You guys ... There is a huge conceptual difference between playing music live and playing a recording. It doesn't make sense to compare them. Listening to a recording, you can appreciate the computer generated instrumentation, or backing tracks. It sounds better. It sounds the way the artist intended it to sound. It is about listening to sound. It is for the ears and brain. At a live show, it is all about expression. The song may wildly differ from the record due to expression. There is stage presence and a show and the infinity between the singer, the band, and the audience. It is about listening to music. It is for the body! This should not even be an argument because both are good. It is like debating whether restaurant food or home cooking is the best. My 2 cents. Not in Pop music, and this wasn't the way it was during the GNT and fans seemed to love that tour! Also, live performances and shows aren't just for the super stans. Live performances on TV and promo events are also for the non-fans and shows are also for casual fans.

I don't belong in this conversation.

People comparing eras, it's like comparing the size of my dick before and after erection LOL! Well forget the comparison then. It isn't even needed. Has Trespassing gone gold anywhere? Does he have a gold single from this album anywhere? Trespassing is better than the sales would show. Much better. Heck, RS gave it 4 stars. If they can get things in motion, if Idol comes through, if Trespassing can connect as a single, then things can turn around.
