WOW! RELENTLESS. Idealistically, rhythmically, vocally relentless!! Found myself holding my breath - climbing that mountain, breaking those barriers! What a trip! love this edit !!!! I have said before but I can really imagine this bass rhythm thumping on the playa. Watching all the dance parties and listening to the relentless sound of LARGE bass speakers almost 24/7 turned me into a Trespassing believer and this edit makes it even better.

I saw two interviews with Randy today. If he is on the judging panel he doesn't know it. He was very evasive with the Idol questions and his body language was very uncomfortable. He was on to talk about diabetes awareness. I question why he would agree to be interviewed now. My guess is he needs to get the promotion while he is still associated with Idol. Would they want to talk to him about diabetes after he was dropped? What would be wrong with Adam being a mentor? I like him in that role. What happened to Jimmy? Jimmy is still there. They were talking about Randy being a mentor, it probably was a nice way to send him out, instead of kicking him to the curb completely after 11 years. Randy could have helped Jimmy or they could have put him "behind the scenes". I don't think Jimmy is going to give up the control he has at this point.

Noooooo. This doesn't sound good: Randy Jackson Closes Deal To Return To ‘American Idol’ As Judge
You can never count a dawg out. After months of speculation that Randy Jackson, the last remaining original American Idol judge, may be relegated to a smaller role on the show next season, in a last-minute move, Fox has made a deal with him to return to the judging table, sources close to the situation said. The network already had an option on Jackson, so the deal-making was relatively straightforwards and was wrapped quickly after talks with Enrique Iglesias broke off. Sources indicate that the reasons to move away from Iglesias, who had been in negotiations for the gig, were not strictly financial. At TCA in July, Fox entertainment chairman Kevin Reilly said that he fully expected Jackson to be back on the show without elaborating in what capacity. . . Now, with both of their deals done, Fox is expected to unveil the new four-person judging panel this week as it finalizes the contracts for newcomers Keith Urban and Nicki Minaj.

This is the exact same site that said Enrique was signing on for 10-12 million 3 days ago!

This is the exact same site that said Enrique was signing on for 10-12 million 3 days ago! Not exactly: It seems like that fourth spot was up for grabs with Enrique being the one they were working with. It sounds like that didn't work out (I'm guessing it was mostly money) and ole Randy may be back in. Maybe the Nicki deal will fall through! LOL

That would make Mariah very very giddy, in addition to us Adam fans!
Oh, btw, who is Jimmy and what's his role on the show for the past 11 years?? #AInonexpert

Funny, I was just coming here to comment on that "possibly" addition. I had just gone back to read last week's Deadline article and the word jumped out at me. The article didn't always read "and possibly Enrique Iglesias." The reporter originally stated, with certainty, "Joining confirmed new judge Mariah Carey will be Nicki Minaj, Keith Urban and Enrique Iglesias." She didn't note on the page that the article was edited or updated in any way and there's no change in the time stamp. That's pretty sheisty. Definitely not honorable (or accurate) reporting.

IF Randy is in, could it be that Idol broke off talks with Enrique, approached Adam, and Adam said, "Gee, thanks, but, no thanks." After all this jerking around that Idol has done, I wouldn't find it odd if Adam became disenchanted with the gig and decided he didn't want to deal with them for six months. I wouldn't blame Adam for not wanting to be the understudy who got the gig because the regular guy couldn't/didn't want to go on. Been there, done that. He deserves better.
Then, Idol had to scramble and bring back Randy. Serves them right. Hope the panel bombs. I'm fine with Adam turning it down.... and he very well may have.
