On twitter. Comment by Flyteness I'm still grinding my teeth at the dead dawg Randy, but my goodness Minaj seems such an unpopular choice, practically every comment is bad. wow.. tht's surprising.. Yeah, I'm not surprised about that. But people like to hate on Idol and on Minaj. I think that even if Gaga were on the panel, people would be hating on that too. I'm kind of surprised that Minaj wanted this too. She's extremely hot right now, but I think Cee-Lo being on the Voice did a lot to make the choice not seem as much as a last-gasp effort at career resuscitation, since he had one of the hottest relevant careers at the time. Even Levine said he did the show because his band was becoming stale and getting a has-been rep. I think this is probably why Mariah was ok with Minaj coming on board. I don't think she wanted to lumped in with the career-resuscitation vibe the show might have garnered. Who knows how twitterverse would have reacted to Adam getting the gig? There would probably be a lot of comments about him being on because his sales were tanking and the show was irrelevant anyway. Even if he was garnering a lot of positive feedback on message boards doesn't mean that would have translated to good Twitter buzz. Twitter is freaking harsh.

I think he got rejected too. What slapdash said might be true that when AI looked at his numbers, he's not there yet and maybe there's a gay issue to some viewers. you never know.
Thanks Smokeyvera on the EW article. My hubby & kids are not much interested in watchin' AI this season. (first time to skip it) The girls don't like Nikki and hubby can't stand to see Mariah and her always showing too much boobs. They're all saying they would tune in for Keith and Enrique, but now it's Randy instead so no more interested in the show. What made Fox think Randy is fan-favorite, really? he's there for 11 yrs season already and his judging is useless!! don't get why they didn't see that & all the articles/blogs said how everyone is sick of the dawg and his you can sing the phone book comment!

He will get the same old harsh homophobe comments on every article that cover the announcement or press release.. if it happened it may have been worst, coz he will be the first idol to became a judge. Glad it's over now.

Adam is always going to be doing SOMETHING and whatever it is, I'm following it, I'm interested, I'm there.
I'm not happy he didn't get the gig he wanted - it would've been really exciting - but that's show biz.
(As for AI's next season - I think it will hold its own. I really like Demi Lovato and Britney Spears, but I find X-Factor absolutely unwatchable - it is SO fake and manipulated and edited and WEIRD. I think Idol still can and will beat that DESPITE those two judges. As for "The Voice," I can't say I really like the celeb judges - in fact, I have a "gripe" about each one except Xtina, and it's not like she's exactly warm and fuzzy or anything . . . But at least the judge "banter" and interaction seems relatively real and not competely ridiculous and the "blind auditions" are fun. I'll tell you who I find just as "meh" and stale as Randy, though - Ryan. Compare him to Nick on AGT or Kat on SYTYCD and, well, there's no comparison to me.)

Bogus news Bulletin: Reality singing shows canceled because no contestants showed up so programming has turned to "Sob Story Singers Throw Out Judging Panels," and Coke and AT&T use extra money to hand out prizes to You-Tube Singing Sensations. Adam Lambert is selected to judge, as he's the only celebrity who has experience rating You-Tubes. "I'll always be grateful to television for giving me my platform, but that is so 2008."
In other news, it is rumored that Snooki and Basketball Wives will be asked to judge re-runs of The Voice, American Idol, the X-Factor and America's Got Talent. The Kardashians will sponsor and produce the show, because who really knows talent?
It is also reported that Nigel Lythgoe and Ryan Seacrest have a new show called "Public Flogging and Self-Indulgent Rubbish," produced by Simon Cowell.

I doubt he rejected $2 million; he probably would have done it for free. It's sad that he didn't get it, but it's good that the speculation is over and we can all move on. LOL sorry... no one does anything for free! Its an opportunity cost situation. If he is sitting judging, then he is not out making money. So, no IMO he wouldn't do it for free. I agree that it's opportunity/cost, but cost for a celebrity is not only the dollar sign. The exposure idol would have brought Adam was priceless, needed right now. Demi did X-Factor for $1 million, and now has a #1 song. That #1 and the exposure outweighs the $1 million she was paid. I doubt that Adam held up the proceedings because he wanted a higher salary or wanted out because he felt idol was a sinking ship. Something else happened.
