So Candice and Kree are through to the finale. I like Candice, but I did not think she sang well last night either. She really seemed to be pushing her voice and I dislike it when it becomes shouty. I find Jennifer Hudson does that too IMO. I'm not surprised about Kree making it to the end. There was an online poll earlier in the season which showed country music was the most popular genre amongst viewers. More than pop, R&B, and rock -- I was surprised.
I LOVED seeing Adam's clip -- just hanging out and looking beautiful in Singapore -- an international superstar, baby!!! I hope people will see it and buy Trespassing!

I have always thought that Angie would be in the Final 2. Shocked that she went out as #3. When it happened I thought, "Well,Candice has it in the bag now." But I am going to change my prediction to Kree as the winner. Between her surprise of making Top 2, being Country, and possibly picking up some of Angie's voters, I think she's got this!
I actually think any of the Top 3 girls would have made a good winner.

Here is Candice's actual performance, not just the audio. I loved it! Not her best of the season. I'd rank it about 5th. But still beautiful, IMO. Why compare her to Streisand or Julie Andrews? Candice is a 22 year old girl with NO voice training. It's not a matter of voice training or even age really, it's just what sounds pleasing to each person. Without all the riffs and runs and um, "shouty bits" as happy put it, I do like Candice's voice. But that one felt overdone to me. I can appreciate what she was doing, and I know that others do like it, but it's not my cuppa tea. And why not compare? Isn't it a good way to explain the differences which make us prefer one version over the other? We like to compare how other singers and Adam sing the same song too.  |

All caught up and ready to watch Adam in the Finale. This has been truly one of the worst seasons of AI ever. I have never used my DVR FF button so often..the boys were overall not worth watching and really until it came down to the top 5, Candice, Kree and Angie were the only ones that ever kept my attention for very long.
I did love that the last few weeks were just WOMEN. Real women with real thighs.. It is about time a woman won this thing. MAybe that's why the men were just so bad. Maybe the judges did that on purpose...idk, random musings.
I ended up mostly enjoying Nicki Minaj, much to my surprise. Very funny, pretty honest, a little crazy. Not a bad thing in Idol land.
I am surprised that Angie is not in the final, but I think Candice should win this thing. Truly a very consistent performer with incredible range. She can hit about any note.
And of course, I am so excited that Adam is in the Finale!! Yay!!!! I am on call Thursday, so I am going to pray the babies hold up and let me just watch this show LIVE, If not, my trusty DVR will have my back...

I just watched Micheal Slezak's Idology and he brought up an original song from Kree which is just incredible!

I mostly fast forward through the judges comments on both AI and The Voice now. It's mostly just filler and I like to concentrate on the performances of the contestants. Now if Adam was a judge, it would be a completely different matter!!!
After seeing the Kree video above, I'm thinking that Kree is going to win this thing.
