Well, I was like that and I know I had to conform to succeed in the world I live in now. It was devastating to my personality at the time but thats the world. Change or get left out in the cold. No business was going to hire me in my wild child days so I did what I had to do. I think Adam has done that to a certain extent. What ever it takes! I just hope he remains himself. I will love him no matter what!!!!  ETA: I would like to add I am more myself than ever. Adam has done that for me! I would say that Adam pretty much let loose in the GNT. I mean, really, what more could he have done - strip nekked and have wild sex right there on the stage? ;D And what exactly do you expect this fandom to answer?   |

I took my Mom to the Opry in Nashville this week. Before the show there is a brief history of the Opry which included an AI 8 clip. Ryan says, "It is Grand Ole Opry week on Idol". The camera zooms in on Ryan with only he and Adam in the frame. Adam does a little smirk laugh in his full makeup, zipper pants and silver jacket. The crowd applauded at the clip. I assume the applause was for Idol and not Adam. Kelly Pickler was on the bill and there were many of her fans in the audience. Here is the smirk. I couldn't find the video.   I couldn't help but think about Randy Travis suggesting Adam shouldn't come to Nashville. Here is Adam on the Opry three times a week. WLL on Idol |

Actually, as an electively single person, I take issue with the idea of tax advantages for married people. Isn't that just discriminatory social engineering, similar in some regards to the opposition of gay marriage? I say do away with tax advantages which are given based on marital status. My opinion only, feel free to disagree ;D Adam never was very good at math, and probably doesn't do his own taxes ... I guess he has never heard of the "marriage penalty" which actually had married couples divorcing at year end, vacationing on the tax savings, and re-marrying after the first of the year. If you look at the Federal tax tables now, you will find a married couple paying exactly the same as two single people. The big advantage for married couples was when only one worked and they could split the income between them, lowering their tax bracket. Nowadays with so many dual-income families, that is not as much of a benefit. |

The clip was from the show introduction of the week Adam sang "Ring of Fire". The smirk was the same but you are right this isn't the photo from the right week. |

Yes, the picture you post is from WLL video, the jacket the hair, that smirk smile was when Adam was waiting from Simon to say something of his performance. |
