I am hoping, hoping, HOPING that anyone who has stepped away from Atop lately happens by and takes a peek at today's thread.
Of course we will not always agree what should or should not be discussed here, but all the good stuff here today makes a bad day now and then worth it!
I love Kamar's suggestion of asking for our favorite Adam, but I guess I'm sort of wishy washy in that I cannot choose a favorite. I just sit back and wait for the next one. It is a joy to me to watch his journey! And the fan videos demonstrate to me that, though it may take a while, as people learn about Adam's music his fandom will continue to grow and grow. (Pop That Lock needs to be a single!!!)
Again, I will say - I love this place!

It would be interesting to know if, nowadays, as a 30-year-old man, does he still have that same desire of letting loose ala Zodiac. I've never had that desire, so I can't relate at all to repressing that urge. Well, I was like that and I know I had to conform to succeed in the world I live in now. It was devastating to my personality at the time but thats the world. Change or get left out in the cold. No business was going to hire me in my wild child days so I did what I had to do. I think Adam has done that to a certain extent. What ever it takes! I just hope he remains himself. I will love him no matter what!!!!  ETA: I would like to add I am more myself than ever. Adam has done that for me! I would say that Adam pretty much let loose in the GNT. I mean, really, what more could he have done - strip nekked and have wild sex right there on the stage? ;D And it bothers me when fans sometimes say that "Adam is not being Adam." Of course he is. He is always Adam. He is like a well-cut diamond - beautiful and sparkling from any angle. Adam has so many facets, and all of them are perfect and authentic and brilliant. Every time we see Adam, he is being Adam. Nothing false about this amazing man.  Thinking about it, even the scary AMA performance was Adam - over-excited and hyped up and feeling something to prove - as he basically said later. But still Adam. |

Thanks for that post, schufly!I agree 100%. I do think they have probably already gotten up to at least $100K though. I figure the M&G was probably capped at about 100 people. That alone is $25K. Add in the $175 tickets being sold out, maybe about 4-500 of those? That would be another $70K. Add in the "cheap" tickets and I would be surprised if it is not around $100K already!  OT, but I just noticed The Gossip is there the night before. Would be fun if Adam shows up for their show! Thank you mys*&@^#r50 , schufly and others that have commented about the 930 benefit. This really put things in perspective for me what this show is really all about. Its not all about Adam. I'm a little show on the uptake most of the time. Another reason why I love Atop so much. I'm thrilled to be able to go to this. Not only to see Adam but to support this cause! Virg!! Looking forward to seeing you there. I really hope it sells out. Adam has such a beautiful heart to lend his talents to support this cause. |
