Ok, thanks, Teddybear. No complaints :D Thanks for the form, Q3. I'll try again to explain. Is this the station which has some kind of a radio show during which you request and then they play the song which spent the most time at #1? And some members here do it regularly, i mean request, and call it 'whacking'? I'm making a comlete idiot of myself right now, aren't I? I must have dreamt it. This is it and if you can access the site from your computer then "yes!" anyone can whack. Please join us! The more the merrier! ;D We had 2 nights last week where they didn't play it right away, even though it was at #1 for more than the 3 songs they played. They did eventually play it, in that 1/2 hour. I would not complain to them. Don't want to be crazy glamberts. And the few times we asked Maxwell at Q102 about it, he said it just means that other people voted against it and knocked it out. I don't believe that, but they always give themselves a way out! |

I was just thinking about the AMA performance and the sexual stuff didn't bother me, but what did was the aggressiveness. The smirky, wink, look at me Adam disappeared and a very aggressive Adam took his place. I think had the performance been more like the video there might not have been such a backlash. I don't know if this makes any sense to anyone else, but that is the impression I carry with me from that particular performance. I think Adam is always himself, but I think there was a lot of anger in that performance too that I had never seen in Adam before, but maybe it's just me!
Q3 comment: No problem with this comment but we are NOT going to rehash the AMA performance. This is the news thread. There are other places on this forum to discuss all things Adam. Thanks!I was not trying to rehash the AMAs it was just something I had thought about and never shared. I usually just lurk and don't comment so I'll go back to my hole now. i am not rehashing the amas either, but validating an ATOP member's observation/opinion. yes, i agree with you lulu1265, (don't let the hole hold you hostage!),there did seem to be some anger there, but mostly he sounded AWFUL. and whether we like it or not, I think this was a pivotal moment in his career. interviewers still bring it up, don't they? and i have friends who still throw it my face. And thanks to those who talked about the economic tax benefit for married couples. I thought there was no benefit to being married, regarding taxes anyway, but there may be other economic advantages? Being married just makes these types of things easier, imo. Really my impetus for marriage was to buy a house and have a great party! But I have grown to see it means so MUCH more and I hope all couples can take that path if they desire it. |

Whenever I feel upset about some criticism or other of Adam, I check myself. Adam can handle himself and I believe he appreciates all feedback as long as it's constructive. He also has the ability to put things in perspective-- something I've worked hard to do all my life. No problem here. Adam just thinks Tommy might want to get together with those girls for some industrial-strength hair tossing. :4OMG: good one, seoulmate Q3 and others-- thanks for helping clarify the radio station protocols and voting. I hope to get a small list of stations that count my vote, considering my location 'disadvantage'  I want to help bump up the plays but don't want to just waste time. |
