This really made my cry!!!! My son gets bullied also, not for being gay, but for his acne, not being in total command of the English language, being in some remedial classes and just existing. The last 3 weeks have been tough. He broke down Friday and said he wanted to pull a trigger on himself. Now if that didn't scare the crap out of me and we don't have guns. But the thought of him being broken. Thank god he shares and we can talk, and he has some teachers on his side. His psychologist really heps him thru, too. Force fields up !!!! So good that your son is willing and able to open up and talk about what is going on. Please add my voice to those telling him "it gets better." He just needs to hang in there for a couple more years, forcefields up, and repeat the mantra that this too shall pass. There will be happy, exciting, satisfying times ahead for him. Pass along our hugs. I tell him all the time It Gets Better and this will be the worst of it. We have devised schemes for him to get thru it. The schemes will be a win for him!!!! |

augenpoesie, BEAUTIFUL PIC!!!  I'm now down the Queenbert rabbithole YET AGAIN. QUESTION: In Under Pressure, Adam always positions himself to Roger's left side (so he's on the viewers' right). WHY DOES HE DO THIS?? Check out :47 in this vid: And :23 in this vid: Is it simply because he has to be between Roger and Brian all the time? ???

Totally OT for the Adam daily thread, but maybe the mods won't notice? This is by an obscure artist I loved when I was in school ages ago. It is about the transitory nature of being a "High School Hero." For the musicians in the group, it is in 7/8 time, I think, with lots of innovative musical influences. (This guy's claim to fame was actually being a very successful jingle writer, including "I'm a pepper, he's a pepper, she's a pepper.. wouldn't you like to be a pepper, too?", "join the people who join the army", and "raise your hands if you're sure." |

Adam in NZ in TWO days!!!!!!!!!! Get to see him at the signing day after tomorrow.....OK, what do y'all do for ~preparations if you know you're gonna see Adam in person??? - manicure/pedicure - major money at the hair salon (new color?) - eyelash tinting? - new outfit?? - fast trip to the dentist for teeth whitening? - doctor's appt for valium/ativan prescription? Just curious.  |
