Cuckoo fit perfectly in the episode -- brilliant playing Trespassing as that's the name of his current album (and now single). When they filmed PLL, had they picked TP as the single?

That's an interesting question. We heard Adam was going to appear on PLL back in July. I wonder when it was actually filmed? Gotta go now, i'll try to investigate it when I get back  |

I have 2 out 3 brothers that are tall. I can never keep up with their strides. Tommy seems to have trouble also. I bet the Tommy berts are going nuts. |

If Cuckoo goes to #40 on ITunes .. it will be in the top forty in POP..do able... IMHO Many radio stations PLAY THE TOP 40.. JUST MAYBE. It is great that Adam's music is moving up the iTunes chart because of last night's PLL. BUT it needs to move much, much higher on the chart to have any effect of radio PDs. Nothing is on the main iTunes chart. >> The response to the music in PLL may influence RCA and Adam to invest some promo money in getting an Adam track on the radio. Since clearly, it was played and moved up the chart. The only chart that matters to radio at all is the main iTunes Songs chart -- not the Pop chart. "Pop" radio AKA CHR "Contemporary Hits Radio" or Top 40 plays hits. And that is Top 40 across genres. (Last I looked Cuckoo was somewhere around #385 on the main chart.) Even if Trespassing was iTunes Top 10, PDs have to be convinced that their target audience wants to here the song. For example, P2's "Home" is 2X Platinum, has been #1 on iTunes and was in the Top 10 for days, and it still could not get any airplay. August 22, 2012: #40 on MB Pop radio chart with 689 spins #9 iTunes. With a lot of promo support from UMG, Home is now up to #23 on the Pop airplay chart and #12 on iTunes. Why? Because it takes more than sales to get on Pop radio. ** I agree with the posts that the reason that Cuckoo is moving up on iTunes is because it was featured in PLL. The Trespassing clip was short and buried. That said, Trespassing is better in whole and not as a short clip. Cuckoo's great classic pop hook was featured on the program. Hopefully, we will get our cake and get to eat it too! Perhaps RCA will start to promote Trespassing then finally release Cuckoo next year. Q3: Just a reminder. I used P2's song as an example related to Adam. Please do not use this post as an excuse to discuss Idol in general or P2's hit. You are welcome to disagree with my general point regarding Adam but please keep the focus on Adam. Thanks! |

Yes, Adam Lambert was there, too! He performed two songs, which were actually pretty fun to watch.

Personally, my favorite light song is Shady....but Shady on radio...I'm on the hunt...I need a fix...hmm....not radio friendly for Adam...but everybody else....perfect.
