skylar , so glad to hear your house is fine. A colleague of mine who lives on the coast south of Boston told me that her home was ok also. Still no Jazzrocks?

Hi, all. Sorry to be just checking in but had to attend to RL today.
We are fine at my home. Power was on and off but seems steady now. Wind damage to property, local flooding and downed trees. Some friends and neighbors w/o power. Had to have some people over to my house to keep warm & shower. Schools and some businesses are still closed. I should be heading back to work hopefully by Thursday. I think that's it for now.

@hypatia127 thanks. No water but no power. They say 7-10 days. But no house damage. Just a section of fence down. Very lucky.

I just wanted to say that Jazzrocks is still without electricity which is not coming back any time soon and that everything is closed, but she seems ok ( all things considered)
I'm so sorry for everyone caught in the storm. Sending warm and positive thoughts is all I can do...

toofragile, I am so sorry about your house.
I finally heard from my sister tonight. She and her husband were able to leave the shelter and go back to their house (Monmouth County). Aside from a tree with major damage, they found all their property in good shape. No power, etc., but undamaged by the storm. Such a huge relief. She is 60 and near retirement. I hated to think of her being wiped out.
I will sleep much easier tonight.
