OMG, my husband is bitching bigtime. He said minorities and young ones voted Obama in, the least informed, and the white people who pay taxes are going to be paying more. I can't totally disagree with him, but I do believe that if Republicans want this country is to survive they need to work together to create jobs, increase taxes and eliminate loopholes for the rich and superrich, work on ending our debt to China (over $5 trillion). Romney who has built up so much money on the backs of many Americans while working at Bain and bankrupting companies and outsourcing jobs to China, needs to bring his money back into this country and be taxed like everyone else. That includes HeWhoCannot amed too

Michelle Bachman won in a very tight race. [Remember, please keep it civil and respect. Thx.] I knew it was tight, but considering gay marriage in Minnesota was voted down, I can understand her being voted in, in such a close race. The gay marriage issue was somewhat close there. Can't win it all. All I can say Obama has a tough job ahead of him, trying to unite the country because at least 49% do not agree with him. We think Adam is a roller coaster ride, we are in for a bumpy ride for the next 4 years. At least I have a president who I can respect.

IMO ,Obama has learned a lot about joint effort, fooled once by idealism and the intransigence of the Republican party..NO longer.. I think Obama will forge a head for the common good.. No more Mr. Nice guy.

Haha You & your husband must be like James Carville & Mary Matalin!
I find it outrageous that Romney paid no taxes from (I believe) 1998 to 2009 and the media let him get away with not releasing his tax records.

Can't win it all. All I can say Obama has a tough job ahead of him, trying to unite the country because at least 49% do not agree with him. We think Adam is a roller coaster ride, we are in for a bumpy ride for the next 4 years. At least I have a president who I can respect. The Minnesota bill wasn't to approve Gay marriage. It was to make the anti gay marriage law they have part of the Minn constitution. The correct vote on this was "No." According to this article, the "No" won. The next step is law suits, like in CA. Of course, if the Supreme Court would just finally finsih the CA cases, none of this would be necessary. So, I am very surprised that a state that elected Obamam & rejected the anti gay constitutional ammendment, did elect Backman! Minnesota voters have rejected a constitutional amendment to ban gay marriage. The vote is a major victory for gay rights activists and their allies, who had never won an election on the issue. They also won ballot questions Tuesday on gay rights in Maine and Maryland. It doesn't change things in Minnesota. A state law still makes gay marriage illegal. Supporters of the amendment had said it was necessary to make it tougher for courts or the Legislature to overturn the law. But opponents raised millions to persuade voters it amounted to discrimination.ETA: Tell your husband that the young voters are probably the most informed among us!! My experience is they actually study the issues, whereas older voters go with status quo! Interesting that analyists, last night, said that the Obama voter % rose among women, the young, and minorities. The only category it went down in (not by much) was white men. It went from 43% in 2008 to 40% in 2012. This is just an observation (by me) on aging men that I know, but they seem to have a harder time "changing with the times."
