No, actually, arjan's columns have nothing to do with me thinking it deserves and might get a nomination. My reasons are: It was a #1 Billboard album. It IS one of the best Pop albums of 2012. It made history. Gosh, if I as a fan can't hope and expect it to get a Nom, then why would I expect anyone else (like voters) to think it deserves one. :-/ Do I think it is a sure thing? Hell, "No!" Do I think it is possible? "Hell, yes!" Do I live my life by expecting the worst or the best? Definitely THE BEST!! Will I die and go crawl in bed and be depressed if it doesn't? No way!! The Grammy nom or not, does not change the fact that it is one of the best Pop albums of 2012! So, you're gonna spend the whole day thinking "Zero chance." And I'm going to spend the whole thinking, "It just might!" Man, for me there is no contest on which I'd rather be doing!

For Finnberts, the facebook account to the organizer, if you want to leave a comment: RL EntertainmentI speculate that we could according to Finnish law return the tickets and get our money back if they are bought via internet. I sent you a new PM about it.

I am hoping and thinking positive that Adam will get the Grammy Nomination he so deserves for Trespassing. And while doing that I will remember the information that Q3 and others posted some time back about GREAT artists and bands that never got a Grammy nod or waited a very long time to be recognized by the Academy. So if it doesn't happen for Adam right now....I will be OK with it because I KNOW how great the album is and how much enjoyment I and many others have gotten from it and watching it's energy come alive with Adam on stage! But I still want to say... TRESPASSING DESERVES A GRAMMY NOMINATION! 8-) ETA:I

If you look at the major submissions in this category this year, the competition isn't that Great. If you look at album sales this year, they are not that great. Like tinafea said, I am not a toddler that is going to throw a tantrum. I just can't spend my days expecting the least in situations so I won't get disappointed. I can't! Yep. I understand if that's the way your mind works, Albiqu, but mine works just the opposite. One of my favorite all-time quotes: No pessimist ever discovered the secret of the stars or sailed an uncharted land, or opened a new doorway for the human spirit. – Helen KellerPeople seem to think you can't hope without expecting. Of course you can. If you truly expected something you believed and hoped for, then we wouldn't need the words, "Believe" and "Hope." They'd be foregone conclusions. Nothing is guaranteed in life or fandom and I think even most 3-year-olds get that. That being said, I will believe in Adam's possibilities until the announcement is made. Expecting the worst never got me anywhere.

I am not sure how this happened. I tried to down play my interest in Adam as just a casual fan to my children. We don't listen indiscriminately to pop radio as I feel so much of the lyrics are inappropriate and unrelatable (some would call me over protective). Adam's cds are the only adult cd in my car but I resist the urge to play it much. Seems my 9year old has become a glambert anyway. She has taken the cd and plays it all the time. Pluses: I get to listen to Adam way more. Listening to him with my family makes me feel more honest. While previously my dh only gave the music the attention of background music, there is no way he can miss it now. Minuses: My other children now groan "not again" when he is played "again!!". I feel less honest because I am using her to cover my obsession. My overprotected daughter is now singing along "the best seeds, make the best treats", "come on pull it out I dare ya", and I am not sure how she handles the cursing. BUT the interesting part to me is how someone who couldn't possibly understand the true meanings of the words values the songs. Her first favorite was Runnin, especially the begining--the beat and power I guess. Now it's OLL. Today while listening to Naked Love she said, "I like this one because it's like he is smiling", then she rewound it to the first few lines and said "right there". That's exactly why I like that song too, although I've never said that to her! I say relax and go with the flow, mama glambert! And how MANY children do you actually have, woman? I tried to compute from your post, but alas, I'm as bad at Maths as Adam is The serious q: When can we start teaching Adam to our kids? I'm thinking... the essence, asap; and, since my kids know nothing about 'seeds' and don't understand various sexual implications, music as well - another advantage of us foreigners! The raunchiest for them would be Naked Love, but on the other hand it could be excellent for teaching commands... :4OMG:
