Grandduchess and Juniemoon were out driving to buy supplies for the next Burning Man. They approach an intersection. The light is red, but Grandduchess just drives on through, not hesitating for a second. Bewildered, Juniemoon thinks to herself "I must be losing it. I could've sworn we just drove through a red light." A few minutes later, they come up to another red light. Again, Grandduchess drives right on through. Juniemoon is alarmed, but is still not sure if she's imagining things. At the next intersection, however, Grandduchess drives through another red light, prompting Juniemoon to turn to her friend. "GD, are you aware that we just ran through three red lights in a row?" Grandduchess replies: "You know, I noticed that too!" Juniemoon, flabbergasted, stammers, "You could have gotten us both killed!" Grandduchess turns to her slowly, and says, "Me?! I thought you were driving!"

Yep. I understand if that's the way your mind works, Albiku, but mine works just the opposite. One of my favorite all-time quotes: No pessimist ever discovered the secret of the stars or sailed an uncharted land, or opened a new doorway for the human spirit. – Helen KellerPeople seem to think you can't hope without expecting. Of course you can. If you truly expected something you believed and hoped for, then we wouldn't need the words, "Believe" and "Hope." They'd be foregone conclusions. Nothing is guaranteed in life or fandom and I think even most 3-year-olds get that. That being said, I will believe in Adam's possibilities until the announcement is made. Expecting the worst never got me anywhere. It seems to me that your mind works exactly as mine, since I'm hoping without expecting it. I'm NOT a pessimist, far from it. I always look at the brighter side of life. I never let myself believe the worst of a situation. Being a pessimist would be saying that Adam won't get a nom and that it will destroy his career because people won't trust his skills as a singer/musician ever again. Now, that's pessimistic. Saying that it's difficult to get a nom but that it won't matter to me if he doesn't because he's fucking GREAT and doing GREAT on his own is NOT pessimistic.

If I may add something re positive/negative thinking in general and as an Adam stan - of course I'm not always 100% positive thinking and loving everything about him, but I wouldn't post about it even if someone shoved an umbrella up my 'ya' and threatened to open it if I didn't:)
But I appreciate those who do, for the sake of variety and provoking discussion. Not always, though:)
ETA JUNIEMOON!!!!

One thing that is making me optimistic about a Grammy nom is the word vocal in the category title. I am hoping some voters will see that word and vote for the best vocalist of the bunch regardless of sales.

I feel for you folks re the tickets. All you can do is enjoy the show and decide if you can afford to upgrade. For GNT Boise I paid a Stub Hub account, 125. for my third row orchestra pit ticket and that night a family of four bought the seats beside me... that day... at regular cost. : I wonder how many of the 60 seated pit tickets were last minute release!!! Not just 4 I bet!! If I am flying in to another city, staying in a hotel, paying for meals etc., I want the best ticket I can get/afford, and I need to know I have a seat. So it is a catch 22. WHAT A GAME!! I feel for you! Planning for London was so stressful with festival cancellation then concerts arranged for London, date changes etc. It was the best experience ever for a concert. Well worth the ups and downs, even though it almost killed me in the process! I interpreted the the wink in Adam's twitter re ratings as he knows it is a good album, others do, so thanks and... "see that" all you radio stations that have not played my music.

This sucks. This is a scam! So many good places to sell! And I'm wasted a bunch of money when buying three VIP tickets, because other kinds of tickets were not available! They lied to that the arena is sold out!

The only available good seats were 161 to 211 euros (VIP without any real benefit). Normal ticket as good now available are 70 euros. that's about 300 dollars to 100 dollars. Those who have 70 euro bad seat and upgrade loose less money. This is not killing me, I have a good seat and I can afford it, but I am so mad for many, many young true fans. And Mods, feel free to delete my ramblings, I need to let steam out. This is criminal business. I try to stop now, but promise nothing. "New steam might come available without further notice"
