Gosh, if I as a fan can't hope and expect it to get a Nom, then why would I expect anyone else (like voters) to think it deserves one. :-/ I have to say I disagree with this. It's one thing to think TSP deserves a nom, but it's a very different thing to expect a nom. Just my opinion. I, as a fan, think that TSP deserves a nom for all the reasons you said. I also can't help but hope it will get a nom, I want TSP nominated. But I don't expect a nom, because I know chances are it's not going to get it. Is there a chance? Yes, of course. It was a #1 album, it made history, it was critically acclaimed, the music is great, the voice is flawless, Adam is respected among the people who vote at the Grammys... BUT the competition is crazy and the album didn't sell as it should have sold, as it deserved to sell. So I'm not expecting a nomination. I'm rooting for one, and I'm crossing my fingers. But I'm not expecting it. If TSP gets a nom I'll be the first one celebrating all over the place, of course. ;D Well, first I think I would burst into tears of joy. And then I would celebrate. ;D ;D ;D

The ticketing was the same at Winstar. Much better seats came open later. It sucked and at first I felt cheated. Later I just reconciled myself to it, went and had a blast. If I had to guess they hold them back for ticket brokers to take what they want, and then release the rest for sale, though they would never admit it.

This ticketing policy sucks, but it makes sure the show will be sold out! Just bought better seating!, I'm happy, excellent seats! ;D ;D Just have to figure out what to do with the old ones. Would love to give them to someone who cannot afford to come to see Adam I must say that I highly disagree with this sales policy, I feel cheated, and would not fight for tickets to any other artist. And the first time also disappointed to our man's back-up team. Big amount of the very best seats not available for those who really wanted them. I have bought so many tickets to many, many concerts and never faced this kind of game. Pop, rock, opera, what ever. I am sure that hundreds of hard core fans now having bad seat, or very expensive seat (withour any bonus) and now casual concert goers will get the reasonable priced best seats????? How can this support anybody's career? Even in Bertland. I wonder if they do this to stop the scalpers and online sites that buy tickets and jack up the prices. Maybe we need to not jump on tickets right away if we don't find good seats and wait for more seats to be released.

Leenaeyez - the ticket situation is just dispiriting but I believe that the venues have total control over how the tickets are sold, not Adam's team. Why they trickle out tickets I don't know, but it happens at many venues. It would be nice if one knew the policy in advance because if they released them all at once it is possible to not get a ticket at all. :-/

I will buy ticket in future close to the concert from ticket office or from broker. In my ETA to post above I noted that ALL good seat were cut off from the first sale. So sad story.

Why are Adam fans not supposed to DREAM BIG?
Do people think we are all toddlers who will have a temper tantrum if we don't get what we want? :dunno:
We went through these same conversations last time and it turned out remarkably well ;D
It will turn out just fine, regardless of the outcome. So I'm dreaming big and saying
ADAM IS GETTING A NOMINATION

How can this support anybody's career? Even in Bertland. I agree. It is maddening. 1. Hardcore fans want to be sure they get a seat, so they go through heart palpitations to get the very best one they can. 2. For Queenbert, I did this in the wee hours of the morning, and then when more tickets were "released, I felt cheated. 3. If we hardcore fans don't try for tickets right off, there won't be a buzz or a reason to release other tix. 4. I think part of the reason venues do this is so not ALL the good seats go to 3rd party vendors like StubHub, to be sold at outrageous prices. 5. Shadow and I purchased an extra set of tickets to get better seats, then we had tickets that we needed to sell (or as Coconutgrove says even give away--which we did for one Queenbert concert.) 6. It is such a game. I think many other artists and venues play the same trick. Sold out doesn't mean sold out any more. I wish they would let us know what % of tickets they are offering for sale in the first round, so we could better figure out whether we want to risk getting better tix later, or want to be sure we are at least at the venue. 7. It sucks to feel manipulated. I wish they would release them all at once and go on a first come first served plan. Perhaps some here could think of a better way. :(

Unfortunately Adam fans and Adamtopia members have gone through many times the ticket buying hell in many forms. Especially I remember the angst with Ticketmaster (alias Ticketbastard). Sometimes the fans have had the opportunity to buy in advance with special codes tickets to shows that will go fast sold out. But so far the scalper agencies have always managed to get the best seats in the house in their sites, no matter what.

I appreciate the realistic expectations and the hope.
I really like seeing Adam acknowledging the praise the album is getting in "year end" type lists - he's so smart that way, self-disciplined really, I think he is, too, to focus on the 1/2 to 9/10 full part of his life.
