I am going to weigh in on a subject that I have never addressed and I probably should keep my mouth shut now but when has that ever stopped me. It has been a year since BTIKM was released and I think whoever chose that song to introduce Trespassing totally misconstrued why WWFM was a success. Think about it, how many times have you heard the words "What do you want from me" in a movie or on television or from someone close to you. I bet half the people who remember the song have no idea what the remaining lyrics are or what they are about. The question applies to everyone and its universality was its biggest selling point. Don't get me wrong, Adam brought more to that song than anyone else could have and I don't think it would have been anywhere near as big a hit if someone else had sang it. But for some reason, all the powers that be picked up on was that it was emo and angsty and so Adam must introduce Trespassing with an emo and angsty song. Wrong, wrong, wrong. My expectations for Trespassing were tempered the minute that song came out. I will say, I thought the video was brilliant. Trespassing is a great album and I love it but it needed a better intro with a really catchy, universal appeal. The first single should have been NAKED LOVE. Not my favorite song, I reserve that place in my heart for Shady, but a song that has universal appeal because who hasn't wanted a little naked love every now and then. The gay angle was way too overthought, the public too underestimated. It took about three seconds at the first concert where it was introduced (Kimmel I think) to have everyone in the audience on their feet smiling and singing along. A song like that was needed and then more people would have listened to the album and been impressed with its depth and musicality. Trespassing is an adult album and so many people have no idea what they have missed. I am ready for new music and ready for Adam to make new music. I still want it to be his music but it is time to move on. Breathe a little new air onto the kindling and please Adam pick some color other than yellow. Gotta agree with you one hundred percent here, and to follow it up with a Bruno Mars coined song, because Bruno has the audience was the ultimate in stupidity. NCOE wasn't a bad song, but it wasn't great and catchy. What is that saying "screw me once, shame on you, screw me twice, shame on me." RCA screwed up big time. I hope they have the wherewithall to recognize it..........If they don't Adam is screwed.

But the product is the song, not the album. I can't tell which album any song is from, except for Adam songs. No matter how famous a song is, or how much I like it, I wouldn't be able to tell you which album it's from. And especially in Tp, each song is so different. The radio and casual listeners tend to think that the first single(s) of an album is the best material from that album and represent the vibe of the whole album. If the first fails, their expection for the second will be lower, and that goes on, unless there is some magic. For example, if after PLL, the sales of Cuckoo topped itunes chart for a couple of weeks, I guess, radio would ask the label to give them Cuckoo. It didn't happen. So Adam has to plan for a different album. ITA -- Trespassing got 3 singles, labels rarely go beyond that without a major hit. IF Cuckoo had massive sales from PLL, it would have been different and might have been a single. Cuckoo was my pick when I listened to the album the first time. I still think Cuckoo should have been the lead single for the album -- it is not my favorite track from the album but it was my first pick for a US Radio single. That said, Adam did get to release a single he wrote and he wanted FINALLY. And that probably matters more than anything. One day, Adam will get/write THE song. work with a producer who understands the voice is important, and it will be all over. What he needs is a young Phil Spector. He produced all the big girl groups in the early 60's, the Ramones, The Beatles' album Let It Be, Concert for Bangladesh by George Harrison and others, and many other artists. His most famous song is the 1965 song "You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin'", produced and co-written by Spector for The Righteous Brothers, and according to WIKI listed by BMI as the song with the most U.S. airplay in the 20th century. More info: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phil_Spector **** If all Adam was just interested in was selling lots of albums, he would do a pop-rock cover album with some of the original musicians and have a crowd-pleasing, safe commercially successful album. I am so glad he is working to create his own music and move beyond that. Although I would happily buy both his

This is one of the studies I've read. It's quite large, but most of the twins certainly share part of the environment. They're not that apart. I'd like to find a study with one of the twins in, say, China and the other in Israel, or something like that. Genes are very important, and as I said above, identical twins are bound to be very similar because of that. But a drastic change of environment would make them develope differently. Different families in the same state or even country aren't enough. It has to be a completely different environment. One case comes to mind. One of the twins was a white Jew brought up upon black people and he joined the Israeli Navy. The other was raised Catholic in Hitler's Germany and joined the Hitler Youth. They met years later, and they found each other beliefs intolerable. Their relationship from then on was very, very troubled. No, identical twins raised in drastically different environments are not the same. There are a lot of similarities because their genes are the same, but the environment makes a big difference in their personalities.

NL is not my fav song either (it's starting to grow on me though). But it is an universal song and would have been a big hit had it been chosen to be the first single. And followed by either TSP or Cuckoo as the second single.
