Wow, that is interesting. It is never too late to be part of a study ... he should call somebody. On the other subject, WWFM made it despite Bieber so I think there would have been room for a good single. I wasn't talking about WWFM or the FYE era. I was referring to the Bristish & teen takeover this year! Compare this year's big Jingle Balls to last year'! Worlds apart!! Oh, and did I mention that I think Trespassing will be in the BB Top 150 selling albums of 2012? Maybe higher even! Yup, yes I do! ;D I got that so I probably didn't express myself well and yay for Trespassing probably being in the top selling albums of 2012. The album may not have been huge but its quality and decent sales will help fuel Era 3. And don't everybody jump all over me, there is still much to enjoy in the Trespassing Era. Hopefully more mixed media visibility.

This is one of the studies I've read. It's quite large, but most of the twins certainly share part of the environment. They're not that apart. I'd like to find a study with one of the twins in, say, China and the other in Israel, or something like that. Genes are very important, and as I said above, identical twins are bound to be very similar because of that. But a drastic change of environment would make them develope differently. Different families in the same state or even country aren't enough. It has to be a completely different environment. One case comes to mind. One of the twins was a white Jew brought up upon black people and he joined the Israeli Navy. The other was raised Catholic in Hitler's Germany and joined the Hitler Youth. They met years later, and they found each other beliefs intolerable. Their relationship from then on was very, very troubled. No, identical twins raised in drastically different environments are not the same. There are a lot of similarities because their genes are the same, but the environment makes a big difference in their personalities. I will be happy if you could PM me the reference to this story. As an Israeli, who spent time doing research in the one of the centers for genetic studies in Israel I'm sure I would have heard of it (these kind of stories are usually used as examples). So I will be interested to read this reference.

I agree. As long as the quality of the music doesn't suffer, bring it on. 8-) We're talking about Adam Lambert right? Adam Lambert = Quality I know that. I wasn't dissing him or his music at all, nor was I implying that he wouldn't make good music. I thought the 8-) face would convey enough "not serious" vibe.

Kris Allen just announced a tour (albeit small venues, but a tour nonetheless). If he can do it, why not Adam? Adam's album sold more than his and Adam still has a label.
IMO, Adam has been "touring", ever since S.A.

Would this be the right place to reveal that my husbnad is a twin that was raised in a separate household from his identical other half? They would have been perfect for a study!! Mszue, Shady is probably too retro for radio. If Bruno released it, radio would play it tho! : You know no one has mentioned one of the things that really fucked up radio this year and that was the British and teen invasion. Especially when the 2nd single came out. I feel like RCA missed Adam's window of opportunity with the first single and then all the teen crap hit and basically it was over. There is no male doing Pop like Adam now. Beiber is the closest we got and he has that teen audience. All the Pop guys beyond that age are either in a group or R&B leaning. It is what it is. I just think Adam can and should be very, very proud of putting out 2 well received albums, critically. Absolutely nothing to be sorry about. [/IMG]
But nobody is addressing my point. Dismissing the track that received the overwhelming...albeit small...fan votes for favourite makes no sense. I do not buy the notion that we are just old so can be disregarded! There are fans of all ages here....and fans of all ages buy music. Good grief, we are far more likely to BUY our choices than that precious target demographic of radio...but that is another issue. Ditto fye...the tracks that got arguably the loudest reaction on tour were Soaked and Fever....yet Fever was immediately dismissed as unplayable and Soaked never even got any discussion at all.
If Shady would be played were it Bruno's then :dunno: :dunno: . Niles has been all over the place lately....why not pushing this track?? Niles would love that. I bet Sam would too. Collaborations are the "in" thing....
sorry....just do not get this off hand dismissal of a great track...if we do not back up our own judgment, I suppose we have no right to expect anyone else to.....
The largest cd of the last 2 years is hardly a typical 'radio friendly' cd...Adele's 21...
OK...off my pulpit here....

I am going to weigh in on a subject that I have never addressed and I probably should keep my mouth shut now but when has that ever stopped me. It has been a year since BTIKM was released and I think whoever chose that song to introduce Trespassing totally misconstrued why WWFM was a success. Think about it, how many times have you heard the words "What do you want from me" in a movie or on television or from someone close to you. I bet half the people who remember the song have no idea what the remaining lyrics are or what they are about. The question applies to everyone and its universality was its biggest selling point. Don't get me wrong, Adam brought more to that song than anyone else could have and I don't think it would have been anywhere near as big a hit if someone else had sang it. But for some reason, all the powers that be picked up on was that it was emo and angsty and so Adam must introduce Trespassing with an emo and angsty song. Wrong, wrong, wrong. My expectations for Trespassing were tempered the minute that song came out. I will say, I thought the video was brilliant. Trespassing is a great album and I love it but it needed a better intro with a really catchy, universal appeal. The first single should have been NAKED LOVE. Not my favorite song, I reserve that place in my heart for Shady, but a song that has universal appeal because who hasn't wanted a little naked love every now and then. The gay angle was way too overthought, the public too underestimated. It took about three seconds at the first concert where it was introduced (Kimmel I think) to have everyone in the audience on their feet smiling and singing along. A song like that was needed and then more people would have listened to the album and been impressed with its depth and musicality. Trespassing is an adult album and so many people have no idea what they have missed. I am ready for new music and ready for Adam to make new music. I still want it to be his music but it is time to move on. Breathe a little new air onto the kindling and please Adam pick some color other than yellow. I agree.. WWFM is so universal.. Kelly Clarkson's stronger, who doesn't need a song like that to help you through the rough times..and of course all the angsty love songs that drive teens crazy IMHO, It's the universal theme that makes a song have longevity in many cases. Of course there are always the crazy, fun songs that hit the big time too... pure escapism and dance fun. I was so hoping that Cuckoo was going to be a single ,a hit and a big dance number.. All is not lost though.. Many of the songs on both of Adam's albums will continue to be loved and sung by many, including Adam.
