Awwwww, Adam is showing Sauli the sites! I love San Diego. It is really pretty and very eclectic! With all the beaches and the downtown area, I could see Sauli really loving it. Should be a fun blog from him!  |

OH, Aleks you're precious! Maple syrup is very good, but sweet. Yes, that is a pancake. Usually they're more round in shape, but Eber's looks a little "unique" LOL They're heavier than a crepe....more cake like. The more maple syrup you pour on top, the sweeter they become. Pancakes are popular down here in the South. My favorites are made with buttermilk. A nice breakfast would be a "stack" of buttermilk pancakes (I can't eat more than 2 or 3) a scoop of butter on top, served with maple syrup, with a side of link or patty pork sausage or bacon and a couple of eggs (usually scrambled) You can add your favorites, like blueberries, chocolate chips, etc. to the batter before cooking. Most people eat them plain, with lots of syrup. Yummy! ;D Ok, buttermilk? So extra syrup added to them is great and of course if you want the opposite then you can dip the sausage, not the bacon, into ketchup (catsup). Bacon supposedly can be made into lots of deserts, I don't quite get that though. |

I remember one time Adam was visiting his dad and sang at a bar when asked. The owner was very thrilled and said how nice he was. He also said his dad was a South Park neighbor. I perked up because that was my old stopping grounds, and where I lived when my kids were born. It is an arty, liberal, older neighborhood very close to downtown and Balboa Park. Lots of craftsmen era houses and diversity. I could literally walk to the edge of the park. Those pictures have made me so homesick for my home town.
