I was about to check the most important Finnish radio stations' playlists for Adam's music cause they do play older songs too. However, with all the Christmas songs dominating at the moment I'll skip the task and get back to it later in January. When voting is possible TP is going strong. NRJ Top 10 number 1 here www.nrj.fi/top10#The list on the right was played in the daily programme, I assume yesterday or last time whenever it was. (The list on left with pics is provisional, changing during voting.) I listened to Radio Aalto on Christmas Eve - they played Trespassing 4-5 times in 6 hours in their mixed Xmas playlist. Radio Nova which I've listened to all week has been playing Adam several times daily, I've heard Trespassing, IIHY, WWFM, FYE, BTIKM. I'm totally spamming at this point, but WOOT !!!I so love Finland !!!! [pretend smiley with waving Finnish flag is here] ;D

I still mourn that Adam didn't get the AI judgeship gig. What better way for an immense audience to come to know him, appreciate him as well-spoken, likeable and good looking. The masses could become comfortable and familiar with him. One-offs are good, but do not compare to regular exposure on a national stage. International concerts are good too, but his absence from the U.S. doesn't help his career here. I think that Trespassing went so largely unnoticed because his presence is so lacking here at home. I think his being largely off the radar in the U.S. is one reason radio pretty much ignored him this time around as well. He did make the rounds to radio but then he fell off their radar too. And I don't think that fans yelling at and chiding/insulting radio stations is any help and probably does more harm than good. Coming out of lurkdom for a brief moment to say that I agree completely with all of this. And leaving the country to go to the UK for an extended period right after Trespassing was released, instead of sticking around to promote it, didn't help either. Of course, hindsight is 20/20

I still believe he didn't get hits because they won't play him on the radio. .....When just a couple of radio stations with low AI play his songs, there is no way they are going to become hits. Anyway, just my opinion. Some of the big hits are some of the worse songs I've ever heard and are certainly not better quality than Adam's songs. If no one hears the songs...no one buys...easy as that, whether radio ,TV, internet, etc. I myself wondered what caused no air play...requests in this neck of the woods fell on deaf ears. Well I will never know...don't even know if Adam knows? (All we have heard as a clue is that the songs did not resonate with radio. So what will resonate in the US--- which seems to drive popularity in many but not all countries?) Was it BTIKM...I thought...hmmm... it took a year and half to put this song out...???? Who knows if others were thinking the same thing...but certainly it was as good, if not better than some of the stuff out there, and the video was really thoughtfully done. Other songs appealed to me more when the album came out, all hind sight now. TV spots have had limited impact on sales...(a slight blip with PLL's ) so either... not continually reaching the right demographic...and missing out by hitting the same demographic over and over who already buy (Ellen/Leno)...or Adam does not connect with the populous who buy music or heard his music. Katy Perry was not an overnight sensation...time will tell what type of career is ahead for Adam. His light is very shiny for me!

Q3: "Trespassing album did not produce big hit songs in the US or Canada or the UK or any other country." Not exactly accurate ... @trespassingal: After more than 14 weeks, @adamlambert 's Trespassing is still #1 on Unistar Top-20! unistar.by/#participate/top20/ (tweeted three hours ago) Singles did very well in South Africa, Finland and now Trespassing is doing well in China – pretty much, where they were heard, they did well. So that brings us back to radio ... OK too nice an evening to rehash. I'll also add Montreal radio where all three singles were played.

I found this article interesting, and it affirmed my believe that Adam is in competent hands with DMG. I liked this sentence a lot: "You're much better off with an artist who has a really strong vision and gives you something you can work and build with." Sounds like Adam to me. This remind me of Michael Phelps and I'm also a fan of him. When he was 16years old and looking for an agent, Peter Carlisle (his current agent) asked Phelps what's his vision and his goal. Phelps told his agent what he wanted and his agent has been working and helping him to reach that goal from marketing stand point. We all know our Adam is a very smart man and pretty sure he has a very clear and strong vision of what he wants for his career, and I'm so glad that he has DMG to support him to reach that goal. I think we've seen it a bit now and hopefully we will see the progress more in the nearest future. [/IMG] [/IMG] I also like this statement from the article "To us, it's not remarkable that she's hugely successful-without sounding like wise-asses, that's why we signed her," Kirkup says. "We really believed in her and felt she had huge potential."
DMG also believes and feels that Adam has huge potential
