Tuesday - Nuts
Heart healthy with good fat, nuts are a good snack in moderation. For my snack I use Costco's Kirkland Fruit & Nut Medley. My taste buds are changing because I used to only like this in salads but anymore I'm eating it from the sack. Hmmm, maybe that's not a good thing.
There are probably better options out there with less sugar but this is a decent mix of: Peanuts, Almonds, Walnuts, Apples, Kiwi, Mangoes, Papya, Pineapple, Strawberries, Bananas, Cherries, and Raisins. I don't understand why it shows Vitamin C as 0%?
So tell us your nutty stories.....

Wednesday - Check In Day
This might be a hard one after yesterday's birthday party. From looking thru the main thread it looks like pizza and drinks were a favorite menu item to go along with the cake.

I got in my 5x of exercise, yay! I also joined a fitness challenge at work. At the very least it will be a chance to meet some more people, since I am still new. And the incentive for completing the challenge is four hours of leave. Woo hoo! 8-) Once again I am pretty proud of myself because I continued to do well on the eating healthier. The box of produce thing has made such a big difference, because the veggies taste so good, I actually want to eat them. This week's box had a lot of different greens (including kale). I have had salads pretty much every day, very good ones. My rabbit is enjoying them too. I also got dill and fennel. I put the dill on salmon and also made a salad dressing with some of it. Still have quite a bit left. I never had fennel before, but I put it on a salad and it had a nice crunch. The most interesting thing was the kohlrabi. I cooked it along with some carrots and made a nice sauce with the veggie water as a basis for the broth, so as not to lose the nutrients. It actually turned out great. The kohlrabi tasted a little bit like celery, but is not stringy. Tonight I am planning to make garlic spinach. Yum. I also followed some of the ideas you guys had for smoothies and tried a breakfast smoothie on Monday. It was pretty good for a maiden voyage. I ate an egg also for staying power. I had a question about the almond milk. Can you use it in other recipes where the milk needs to be heated, or does it break down? On the neck pain thing - I have a tractioning device that I got from my chiropractor that works really well. You lie on your back with your neck on a neck roll, hang your head off the edge of the bed, and put this 5-lb weight on your head. I have been very lazy about actually doing it, though. I usually do it in the morning and listen to Adam while I'm tractioning, but instead lately I have been hitting the snooze button.

Checking in before I head out for the day. With my scale being rather hard to read I do think I lost another lb. so yeah me! Great suggestions about shoes and excercises in the last few pages.
Still dealing with my ankle problem, and am actually on the way out to get another x-ray. I sprained it 6 months ago, and when it started feeling pretty good I started to do some walking again. Normally I walk 3-4 times a week about 45-60 minutes. Had to stop walking after a couple of times as the ankle started to hurt again, and it's been aching or hurting ever since. Doctor now wonders if there's some cartilage broken off, so the x-ray will hopefully show if that's the case. I've been so frustrated with this ankle because I cannot do much, not even all my normal back related stretches as one of those pulls on my ankle.
While I don't have flat feet I do have back issues and go to physio regularly. I have to say I would be lost without my birkenstocks. They may not be too stylish, although getting better in that regard too, but they keep me moving without huge back discomfort.
I'm so glad this thread is here, as it is really helping to keep me motivated. Thank you all! Love your stuff Chapf! Thanks for cheerleading!

So how does this work? I guess I'm going to join in here as I apparently contracted a severe case of fitness virus over the holidays. I blame my roommate's sister. Anyway I've been tracking my food and stuff on www.myfitnesspal.com so if any of you are signed up over there my handle is GraffeoDL. I been using the Endomondo app for tracking my walking and exercise. It can be linked directly to myfitnesspal so I don't have to enter things twice. Also in case anyone is interested in earning stuff for your exercise or converting your exercise into charitable donations, there is a site called Earndit that you can link to Endomondo or Fitbit and several other devices so that when you tell it to it will queary those devices or apps and find qualifying exercise and assign you points which you can redeem for gift cards and stuff or donate to charity. If anyone wants to check it out follow this link and if you sign up I get a referral bonus. earnd.it/V7m6RSI've been making smoothies for breakfast for the last two weeks which is much healthier than my previous breakfast of Reese's cups or no breakfast at all. Oh, yeah I guess I'm supposed to weigh in? I was at 173.4 lbs this morning and just so you know I've really been working at this I started on Dec 30 at 182 lbs.
