Friday - Celebrate SuccessWow fiercelier, congrats! Down 20 is wonderful news. Can you share your plan again and how you are dealing with cravings? You seem to have a done a great job with making tradeoffs and self bargaining to remain on an even keel. Hi Jablea, I'm not sure why it's working for me this time and hasn't in the past. Somehow I'm in the right mindset to mostly stick to it. All I'm really doing is eating a lot less, and especially snacking a lot less. But I do allow myself some stuff, chocolate especially, a glass of wine here and there, as I'm not planning on changing my eating habits completely. That just won't work for me in the long run. I try to keep busy so it's easier to deal with the cravings, but if I give into a craving, I don't beat myself up over it, but am extra good the rest of the day and the next day. This is why the weight comes off slower than I would like, my goal is 60 lbs. by my 60th birthday, and don't know if I'll reach it in a year, but I'll keep working at it. I like your term "self-bargaining". This coming week I'll be visiting family so I know I'll be going way off the plan, but I'll try not to gain any back after the hard work to get it off! I'm also going to start trying some exercises after I return and have been walking a bit, so may built up the muscles which will weigh more. Plus, it really does help me to know I'm checking in here every Wednesday, so I really appreciate it that you started this thread and are letting me hang out here! I don't post a lot in the main news thread. Chapf, have a wonderful holiday, and thank you so much for the cheerleading!! We'll just have to do our own!

chappy, I've been reading on my tablet (which I can't get logged in from) so haven't been able to post and wish you a happy trip. So have a happy trip alright!
fiercelier, I think maybe I'm going to have to take up bargaining. I think I forget the "now you owe me" part and keep thinking I'm getting whatever I want for free.

My neighbor just joined up with my private trainer (he's in walking distance from us) so now we are going to be working out together.

Wednesday - Check In Day
The antibiotics I was on for the sinus infection I got after my two week cold came thru with some appetite suppression. Yay! lol I'm back on track which with my record is nothing to be proud of but it's what I'm hanging on to. Down 3.

Totally went off the rails in the last week. Missed two walks for a total of 3x of exercise. I had a training class at work and out of town guests over the weekend, so I ate out a whole bunch of times.
The good news is that I haven't had any problems with nerve pain! What is my body trying to tell me? Chinese food -- the best medicine? LOL.
Getting back on track the last couple of days with normal breakfasts and lunches and fresh veggies each night for dinner. Next week I want to get back on track completely with my exercise routine and having smoothies again for breakfast at least a couple of times a week. I find myself wanting a lot of comfort food and it's hard to resist.

So glad to hear you had no nerve pain this week Juniemoon! Begs the question, doens't it, in regards to Chinese food! LOL!
Checking in from a family visit with my mother, who has no computer or internet access. It's amazing how disconnected I feel without it. We had provincial elections here in BC as well yesterday and just found out some results. While I have a blackberry, I find reading stuff on there a big pain, too small!
Anyway, brought my scale with me and am down 1.8 lbs. Next week's weigh in is going to be the challenge, as I'm definitely eating more here than I normally do, but today at least so far is good! Nice weight loss for you Jablea, congratulations!
Hang in there everyone!! Gotta keep up the cheerleading during Chapf's absence!! (smillies not working for me!)

Yay, down 3.4 from last Wednesday. Found a workout buddy and met up this morning to walk before work. Did 4.27 miles. We are going to do MWF morning walks so this should help me get back on schedule.
