Glad to hear you had a nice holiday Jablea!
I guess I'm the first one checking in this week. Lost 4.4 lbs, which is really nice, but part of it was because I had another bout of the vertigo/nausea/being sick that I had right after the MRI. It again came totally out of the blue, so it's got me a little worried what the heck is going on. The MRI was a month ago. The weight loss after going up a bit last week is nice, and I have been really good this past week, and I am noticing it in my clothes again, as the couple of pair of capris I bought a while ago to get me through the summer are definitely a loser fit. Got in a couple of walks, but probably won't get any in this coming week, so have to really watch what I eat again. We do eat lots of salads with fresh lettuce from the garden, plus right now it's raspberry season and we have those in the garden as well, so having some most days. So many raspberries in fact we still have to freeze some as we just can't eat them all fresh, even though I also serve them to my guests.
Hope everyone is having a good week! That Adam rollercoaster should be getting the weight off too what with all the excitement lately!

fiercelier -- for what it's worth, and not to minimize your concerns, but I have had two rounds of vertigo/nausea this week and I didn't even have an MRI. Could be there is some bug going around that affects the inner ear or something? Though in my case it might just be tension. I got so excited on the weekend about the news about Adam + Queen that made myself have a nerve pain episode. Silly. Would really like to get past that. I have been storing a lot of tension in my neck and shoulders.
It wasn't as hot this week because we were lucky enough to get some rain, yay! I have either walked, swam (swum?, gone swimming!), or gone to aerobics every day this week.
I have been eating pretty well also. This week's farm basket has a terrific watermelon and we have been eating on it for days. Also a lot of squash and some sweet onions. I sauteed squash and onions in a little butter and then added some seasoning salt and it turned out really, really good. We got a big spaghetti squash as well that I want to make -- if anyone has any favorite recipes let me know.
Looking forward to my self-employment starting next month and the opportunity for a more flexible day with more exercise coming naturally.

Ooops, sorry all, didn't get the day posted. I've been popping Norco for the last two days and still a bit out of it as it puts me to sleep. Monday night the horse bucked me off and sent me to the hospital to check for broken bones etc. Thankfully just sprains and bruises mostly in my shoulder but I landed on my side all the way down to my hip. I can get my hand up far enough to touch my face, a little better each day but still sacking out on the couch. Hubby thinks I'm a wuss, I'm glad my hip is still in one piece. Didn't lose any weight on vacation last week, darn. Usually I do but we had Costco gorp along and well those nuts do stay with you. fiercelier, I had a co-worker who had issues for several months and she finally couldn't come in for months. I think she worked from home for about three months and then it just went away. Here is a link to Earth Clinic, I've found solutions for several problems by looking thru what has helped other people, maybe there is something for you. www.earthclinic.com/

Nutrition Course - Free onlineThis "started" on Monday but it's ok to start late. It's a free 6 week online course in Nutrition and Exercise from the University of Pittsburg thru Coursera. You can do the activities and get a grade if you want, most courses don't provide actual college credit, or you can just follow along with the reading assignments, quizzes, etc. Most courses seem to have video footage from the professors also. You'll need to register to see all the materials. Might be good for discussion if several of us joined in. www.coursera.org/course/nutritionforhealth

Lucky to have no broken bones, but sprains can be nasty! Take it easy for a while!!

Thursday - Frozen Oatmeal w/Frozen CherriesYeah, I really don't understand this one (I'm getting these from a Costco heathly diet article) but since I have both I guess I should freeze some for the morning. Ooops, hmmm googled it and read up a bit more, I guess it's not like my instant oatmeal so I think for tomorrow I'll just try some frozen cherries in addition to my usual raisins. But for anyone interested you can buy frozen "pucks" of oatmeal all cooked and ready to microwave or go to this link for DIY instructions. cathiefilian.blogspot.com/2012/03/recipe-how-to-make-frozen-oatmeal-at.html eta: I've got to look for those silicon muffin cups she uses, they look like something I'd use all the time for freezing squash etc. I'm progressing on the shoulder etc injury, thanks. I can brush my teeth now, if I hold my elbow with my other hand.

Friday - Veggie hamburger patties
I've had these several times, usually with pretty good results, add a sweet pickle lots of mayo and ketchup, cukes or zukes for crunch.
If you like making your own patties it's really easy to add grated carrots, pureed squash, etc before freezing or grilling.
-- I cut up some cherries for my oatmeal this morning. Not bad, the heat and oatmeal take away some of their tartness. May have to actually freeze some for winter. I didn't do frozen oatmeal though. A little bit at a time.

My Nutribullet fried on me :( Sent report to customer service. Hope they respond as quick as they did when my blade went out in May.
