Well, here it is Friday again. I was down 3.4 lbs for a total of -14.2 lbs. Have to admit this isn't too painful and tracking really has helped me be aware of what I'm eating. Still having a lot of heel pain and hobbling around is making my back worse. Not doing much exercising. Need to do some exercise without walking. Fitbit sounds interesting, but I don't have a smart phone.
PS: What is a nutribullet???

Fitbit sounds interesting, but I don't have a smart phone. PS: What is a nutribullet??? ? You don't need a smartphone for Fitbit. The fitbit is a device that you wear. They have a website that the device syncs with. You just need a usb port free on your computer that you can leave the dongle plugged into. There is a piece of software you install so that whenever you are within 10 feet of the computer the device syncs. There is an app for phones but only the iphone app syncs. Well a select few Android phones can sync but not all. The version I bought is the Fitbit One and cost about $100. It has been well worth the money. There are some models that are cheaper but don't quite have the same features. Oops forgot to answer the ps. A Nutribullet is like a blender for making smoothies.

Monday - Water w/Lime juice drops
Tired of plain ol' water? Add some lemon or lime juice to it and it's ok to use the bottled kind so that you don't have to keep fresh lemons or limes around.
ETA: I've been trying it with a squirt of bottled lime juice into my 3 cup bottle. Makes it smell more than it tastes. I think it's just a bit of a change up.

Tuesday - Hemp Seed
Haven't tried this one yet. I have Chia seed and Flax seed both on hand. Hemp seed is supposed to have high omega 3s also.

Jablea and fiercelier -- hope you are continuing to recover! It really is scary about the MRI thing. I had no idea such a thing could happen -- I thought it was just like an x-ray. I guess it makes sense that radiating your body could have adverse effects; hope the worst is behind you! Not much to report here. I admit I have slacked a bit with this hot weather. It is so hard to want to exercise or to cook, yet the salad veggies are scant during this blistering weather. I had a big success with a spaghetti squash though. Cooked it in the crockpot and it was so easy. I cut it in half, took out the seeds (it's like a pumpkin), and put the two halves face down in the crockpot. Added a can of tomato sauce with garlic and italian seasoning, and rolled up some italian sausage into a few meatballs. Cooked everything together for five hours. It all turned out great and didn't even heat up the kitchen. I am going on vacation and will miss next week and be late the week after. Everybody be good and take care of yourselves!!

Wednesday Check In Day
Well for laying around as much as I have I'm not as bad as I thought I might be on the scale. I have been working with my trainer still (my neighbor and I) and doing small weights and cardio. Starting to walk the dogs again too.
junie, that spagetti squash recipe sounds fun.

Meant to get back here last week to see how everyone else was doing, but am barely keeping up with the news thread. Juniemoon , wow, vertigo/nausea twice in one week! That's really tough. My 2 bouts were just over a month apart and it freaked me out. I haven't been for a walk since the last bout and am finally able to go tomorrow morning probably. I always have my I-pod with me, and have now started to wonder if that has any relation to the vertigo, as it's an inner ear problem. When you're getting an MRI they give you headphones and play a CD to help distract you from the noise of the machine, I guess. So my first bout of vertigo was right after that. My second bout was right after I came back from a walk with my I-pod. On the other hand, I had walks in between the 2 bouts without a problem. So I'll wear my I-pod tomorrow and see. I do want to know if this is a trigger in any way.
Thanks for that website Jablea. I'll check it out. Stardust, congratulations, you're doing great!
Lost 1.4 lbs. this week, so more of an average weight loss for the week. Did pretty well but not perfect as far as going outside the plan. Just had my first break of the day and allowed myself a half a slice of carrot cake. This has no icing or anything so not so bad. Onwards and downwards!
Have a great vacation Juniemoon, a nice break before you start your new business! Hope you won't have any nerve pain so you can enjoy and relax.

Oops! Gained 1.5 lbs this week!! UGH!!!! Actually, I not real surprised. I tend to plateau every other week and lose every other week, so it was bound to happen sooner or later. It will even out.
