Interesting article about JT's and Jay Z's "business model." Not sure I agree about the album every 5 years part. Only people who are already huge can do that and only certain genres. I do agree about the diversifying though & touring. t.co/kZlvtNzDCould be some problems with that. When I first heard JT song, I thought it was Robin Thicke.
Exactly my initial reaction --- Robin Thicke! Honestly, I don't dig the song as I should, considering I am a fan of JT (not hardcore like Teddybear tho  ) and I love his last album "FutureSex/LoveSounds". But, I'm gonna wait till the whole album comes out to give my final thoughts.
It would be very interesting to see how JT does in the sales dept. with this new album. 2006 doesn't seem like a long time ago but the industry has changed so much since then. Back in 2006, the dawn of the new digital era, the bricks-and mortar sales were still one of the most crucial and important revenue streams for an artist. On the other hand though, not as though JT needed this financially; he's made his fortune thru past music, movies and other business ventures and will continue to do so, which is why "the business model" only suits for artists like JT and Jay Z who are either solid established or got several irons in the fire, or both.

Did Adam's episode of PLL play again yesterday? I thought I saw a passing mention on twitter that the album had a bump during the day. I was working and didn't get figures at lunch but these are the numbers I did get for yesterday.
