Hi Everyone! Delurking to just say hello to everyone! Your discussions here keeps me entertained everyday. So many wonderful and intelligent people here. I am so excited with the Manila concert. But i am as confused as everyone else on the venue. Adam's Glam Nation was held on the open ground of MOA, a block away from Arena's location. Araneta is also a great venue as it is very accessible to people. Taylor Swift had her concert there. Before Arena was built, Araneta was the only coliseum type concert venue. No complaints here. So long as the concert happens. I just want them to sell tickets - NOW! The concert is in less than 2 months. Promotion should already start.

Albiku, you have seen the movie, right? I haven't yet. So, if you want to send a polite, articulate email kindly informing him of Adam's pedigree and the fact that he actually said some very nice things about the movie and recommended it, I say "Go for it, girl." Sorry, I didn't see this, Cassie! Yes, I saw the movie. And I would totally write an e-mail if I wasn't so self-conscious about my English. [/IMG] I could try, but it's so difficult to find the words when English isn't your first language... And it's even more difficult when you're trying to write formal. Okay, maybe I'll try anyway. lol : I don't think he'll read it, though.
Sweetie, your English is fantastic. Better than some of my native speaker college students. Go for it. Represent!

lol I actually thought about that. I also thought that maybe he's saying that there ARE changes coming, maybe in his career, in his music. I don't know.Or maybe he just wanted to tweet it. ;D But I like the thought that he lurks in ATop from time to time. This was my first thought as well, but have to say, that was one of my favorite performances, too. There are so many performances like this that amaze me all over again every time I hear them! I came *this* close to adding the AI performance of ACIGC to the other SIX vids I nominated last night shortly before Adam's tweet! Not sure why I didn't -- chose B or W from AI, and chose the Zodiac perf. of ACIGC -- but I LOVED the AI performance of ACIGC too. Really exciting to watch it, and he looked fantastic. What a coincidence that he posted that last night! Or not...

WWFM (pop-rockish) was his big hit & "they" tried following up with similar songs that went in essence nowhere. Where did they? On the BONUS tracks of the Deluxe edition? Give me an album in the spirit of "Runnin'" and I will be a happy camper. In fact, looking at Runnin' and Take Back, I suspect Album #2 could have been very much a Pop-Rock thing if it was not for Pharrell (which wasn't a bad thing). IMHO the problem "they" had was called Dr.Luke and to a certain extent Claude Kelly. And then there was the whole Maypril waiting for NCOE which shouldn't have happened.
But Trespassing is largely wonderful as it is, it was just rolled out... strangely.I totally agree with this ^^^^^^^. It always seemed to me that his earlier work on #2 turned up as extras, and I love'em all . Still however feel that Trespassing will continue to sell as he gathers more fans by all other means, and then they will seek out and appreciate the totality of Adam's genius, and become New Age Glamberts and join us DTRH .

It is confirmed that the concert is at SM North SkyDome. Just bought my tickets. Lots of people on my FB group is complaining about the move. Am still happy that Adam is still coming. On Album #3 - i wish Adam the best. The business is tough but he needs to win this game. I will always be supporting him - this time doubling my effort in buying, voting, requesting. LOL!

Trespassing got good reviews and got Adam major recognition that has taken him much further from the Idol shore and into the endless waters of contemporary music. He began to think like a singer-songwriter as well as a vocalist. He created a love letter to life and all the down-to-earth, real things that he thinks and feels. And thanks to Queenbert, his eyes have been opened to what could be. Trespassing was a bold stroke, and I think it will be followed by work that is even more epic and I hope genre-busting. Love this post, Juniemoon, and agree. I love both albums and from Trespassing I particularly love SHADY. But I want to be surprised, and I share your hope for some genre-busting.

Further thoughts on the "pop-rock album" thing - I would love to see a production done as a rock album would be produced. Basically develop the songs with a producer AND a band and record them the way a band would record them (I know Adam is a solo singer, but what I am saying is that if you look at Adam live, his songs have always have a more rock vibe than the album versions). So I would be interested in an approach capturing that "live performance spirit". I know you cannot capture Adam Live on tape, but you can at least try to get closer instead of letting Dr. Luke overproduce his singles. He failed two times - I don't have a personal grudge with him, but I will be mad if I see his name on the singles of Era #3 [/IMG] Now THAT is an Einstein situation!
Like this idea too!

Also, some of you old timers may remember that Dadbert was a member of PF way back when........... Was Eber a member of PF? I remember he posted on TWOP way back when (I haven't been there in ages) but don't remember him on PF. But now I'm not sure!
