Adam Lambert @adamlambertBut because its become such a trendy way to identify certain kinds of typical teenage angst, I hope it's not making it worse. That is it. I think that we have two very different things: physical violence and harrasment and the typical behaviour of kids. Kids are cruel and mock other kids. They always had and always will be. And that is petty bulshit, but for teenegers is not because everything is so serious. Two of my classmates killed themselves with two weeks of difference. One because he was lonely and girls didn't like him and other one because he was not doing well at school. If they were alive and adult and could look back I am sure they would think that was all stupid petty bulshit. But they killed themselves.

Adam Lambert @adamlambert
Celebrities are bullied online, by tabloids & paps, yet there's a strong opinion in society that "we asked for this, part of the job"

Adam Lambert @adamlambert
Yet w/ social networking taking over, isnt society emulating celebrity culture by posting pics and updates of themselves to a broad audience

Don't assume that your experience with bullying is everyone's experience. But it's fine when Adam does it : Show me where he did that. He never once claimed that there is only one kind of bullying. He has even said in the past that he wasn't really bullied in school, so he's not even talking about his own experience. He's just saying that there is more than one approach to the issue, and helping kids develop self-worth may help deflect some forms of bullying. Clearly he's talking about emotional bullying and not physical bullying.
I don't understand why this is controversial. How can helping kids be emotionally stronger be a bad thing?

Adam Lambert @adamlambert
So with fame having become the new American Dream, are we punishing those who have 'made it' with our own inferiority complexities? Envy?

Twitter is probably not the best place to try to have a conversation such as this one. I don't think everyone is on the same page...
eta---And now he's kind of lost me.

I don't even know what he's talking about anymore. Is he really equalising media harassment to celebrities with bullying kids in schools? Is that what this rant was about? It was about his position all along?
