Adam Lambert @adamlambertAnd btw it's one thing to constructively criticize someone's work or decisions, it's another to attack their very essence. Right? I think he is pissed about the tweet he received critising him for supporting Kesha.

I think Adam's moved on to a completely different thing. I think it might have something to do with some @ replies I saw but who knows. His brain works in strange ways sometimes I also think a discussion like this on twitter was bound to bring a LOT of misunderstandings, 140 characters just aren't enough for a subject like this. I don't agree with all he's said but I also think some of his tweets just didn't explain things exactly like he might have wanted them to. I think THIS is the most important part of his message: "We should be nice to each other. ALL of us."

Lorelei @randomhandler @adamlambert Agreed! I do get carried away with my own snark/sarcasm from time to time and now feel inclined to reflect on my own behavior.

Adam Lambert @adamlambert
I'm not quite sure of how any of what I'm tweeting would be disappointing to anyone.... Someone explain? We are having a twitter forum!

I think developing self-worth and belief and strength in yourself is vitally important - not just to kids but to everyone. And I agree. But implying that the solution to bullying is helping a kid develope a thick skin and that we should take the focus away from the bullies is something I can't agree with.

It seems to me what Adam is saying is:
- There is a lot of crap that teenagers face, that we all go through, and labeling all of it "bullying" desensitizes us to the real bullying that goes on. - Making bullies take responsibility for their actions is important, but it is also important to give victims tools of self-powerment so that even the milder forms of bullying don't lead to despair. Learning how to cope with bullying could save kids' lives. - Bullying doesn't just happen to teens -- even Adam has to deal with it.
I agree with him, but Twitter is a damn difficult way to have a profound discussion. Too easy to misunderstand what is going on. Sigh.

Madiscoots @scootachu @adamlambert you're disappointing a lot of people right now. shaking my head. Adam Lambert @adamlambert@scootachu my point is that this bullying issue shouldn't be as conditional as it secretly is. We should be nice to each other. ALL of us Geez, from the way some people are reacting, you'd think Adam came out IN FAVOR of bullying. :dunno:
