My son is an easy target for bullies, and he is bullied daily. He's 16, adopted, learning and language delayed. We talk a lot, and he has been so stressed for the past 3 years because of the bullying. But we devised a way for him to win. So he has formulated a technique which works quite well. If comments are slung, or he is pushed around, or harassed..he's says excuse me, would you repeat that...they do...he repeats it very loud so other students hear what they said, and then says oh thank you so much for your input, you made my day, smiles and walks away. Bullies are dumbfounded. Usually someone hears and smirks at the bullies..they skulk away. Actually in many cases kids have come to my son's aid, since. My son is a charmer and really socializes with all students, complements them, asks how they are doing, so as a result he has developed allies and now how a great sense of self and well being. He has developed armor, with very few chinks. Trust me, it was not easy. Adam is right, self worth is important, and standing up, developing a thick skin and developing a defense works. Having a supportive network is important, where ever it comes from.
I love your solution to the bullying! When bullies don't get the reaction they expect and hope for, they don't know how to handle it.
Remember that scene in A Christmas Story when Ralphie finally cracks and starts pummeling Scut Farkas? Farkas was only brave when others were afraid. Once Ralphie took him on, Scut showed himself to be the sniveling little coward that must have been his real self all along.

Frecklesexual...
I owe you an apology. You have been though the grist as well. You must be a very strong person to have survived what you did. We just had an 'episode' which frightened me and your comment about ignoring remarks tilted me over the top. And I should not have put quote marks on what was not a direct quote from you. It wasn't intentional.
I am truly sorry to have gotten on your case.

I think she mostly calls Gaga's fans out. And, even if I'm a casual Gaga fan, I have to say she's right. Some Little Monsters live up to their name. On this note, I have to say that I've been told about some pretty horrid comments from Glamberts today. For example, they called a gay man who was disagreeing with Adam an "ass king". And this while trying to lecture him on bullying. :

[/IMG] ETA: Ljsmack, congrats on your third star!!! :D
It is a FOX sow, on during a different season. It's competition now is The Voice. However, if Simon doesn't do something, XF is dead!! Last season was bad. The ratings were bad. Simon doesn't seem to "get" what is wrong with this show. He thinks it was the judges and the host. But it is totally the format! XF is not grabbing the US audience like the UK version does. Not sure I would want Adam to do XF unless there is a major over haul!
Strangely enough, those shows came up in my teaching today. The Voice is the show that the 14 year old girls who still like reality singing shows are watching at my school.. Not many watch XF or Glee. (I did a TV/advertising/media demographic exercise in my classes today.) LOTS of them talked with fangirly squeals about how much they LOVE PLL. (I felt like asking about Adam, but I refrained, lol.) That is from a small sampling of 106 14-year-old upper middle class girls in Southern California.

He has 6 weeks before his tour - He is a workaholic so I would guess he might be working on his next CD What couldn't he possible do a SMALL 5-6 shows w/Queen like in the major cities such as NEW YORK. Keeping his name in the headlights for the US audience and then release his new single shortly afterwards? My question would be. HOPEFULLY RCA is re-working MAJORLY his roll-out promo for his new single and well as seeking SUPER support from stations as NOT ONE gave his singles a chance.Maybe we all could take up a collection for bribing stations to put his new single into rotation. I just worry that radio will slam the door in his face. I think if PLL had aired just before the release of his first single and that first single was Cuckoo, it could have been a major hit. He needs something major with this kind of timing for the 1st single from album #3. If not Queenbert concerts just before release, then maybe next year's PLL Halloween special or even in conjunction with again hosting Diva's in Dec. I think you are right.
