Thank you, Gingerpf! And thank you to everyone else who commented on my post about my experience. I know I didn't answer to all of you even though you said such sweet things, but I really appreciated it.

Miles Tougeaux þ@milestougeaux @adamlambert Ghandi said "An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind". It would also make traffic much worse. Seems the spelling is congenital. The name is Gandhi.

One interesting thing about this discussion is to read how many of us have experienced bullying and/or cruel, mean, debasing treatment as kids. Or have a family member with that experience. I know that I shudder to think of my middle school and high school years. I have very few positive memories of that time in school. And some of the incidents still hurt almost fifty years later. Amazing to know how much I am not alone.
I don't understand why this happens to so many kids. Don't understand the whole culture of insult and trashing others. Don't understand how one can do such things and feel good about themselves. I would think it would erode their soul and their humanity.
With the problem this wide-spread, I think Adam has a good point about working with kids to develop ways to cope and survive relatively unscathed. How we do that? I don't know. How we tell an immature child with no solid concept of the future that this too shall pass, I don't know. How we instill and develop moral, ethical, compassionate behavior in our children I don't know. My parents did with me and my siblings. Adam's parents obviously did. What did they do right that other parents have missed or overlooked? Dunno. Damn! This pool is deep tonight.
Hugs to all the weird, ridiculed, shunned, bullied little kids who live inside so many of us. Y'all are very special, beautiful, strong, caring, loving individuals.

Adam Lambert addresses bullying issue: 'More should be done to help kids cope'www.pressparty.com/pg/newsdesk/adamlambert/view/65061/Vocal sensation and former 'American Idol' runner up Adam Lambert has called for more to be done both to prevent bullying and to help young people to deal with it. Writing on his official Twitter page earlier today (January 11), the 'Trespassing' hitmaker explained that action needs to be taken: "Bullying sucks. It's true. I feel like we should focus more on helping kids cope and build a thick skin rather than focusing on the bullies?" This tweet comes just a day after modern pop icon Lady Gaga wrote an 'open letter' to Kelly Osbourne, criticising her for dishing out the kind of negativity and verbal abuse she used to receive before she slimmed down. Although Osbourne hasn't responded to the situation, her mother Sharon publicly replied this morning and defender her daughter, calling Gaga the bully for encouraging her 32 million Twitter followers to think badly of her. I just re-watched the RoveLA vids that were posted. That show was hilarious. Kinda helped me transition from some of the really sad stuff that's been posted. I'm smiling again. ;D
