Pink and Kelly Clarkson just had very successful albums by heading to pop-rock. I do not expect Adam to do classic rock or rock anthems, but he could end up in a direction like Pink's.

OT but we've discussed Taylor and her writing songs about her ex-boyfriends. Still reeling from her breakup with Harry Styles, Taylor Swift was spotted out to dinner with her family last night at Mastro's Steakhouse in LA. Joined by her parents and younger brother, Austin, Taylor's mom was spotted consoling her during the meal. Luckily, it seems that Tay's letting her emotions pour out in her music -- she reportedly has written five songs already about her short-lived romance with Harry! [E! Adam Lambert Parts Ways with Record LabelHaving made many headlines recently for his criticism of Les Miserables, Adam Lambert is now in the news for his own career and here's why: The singer has parted ways with his record label. Lambert's deal with 19 Entertainment expired this month and The Hollywood Reporter confirms "both sides" have agreed not to sign a new contract. A rep for former American Idol runner-up says the parties leave “amicably and with the utmost respect for each other,” adding that the choice for Lambert is just part of his “evolution,” which started when he joined Direct Management Group. Under Entertainment 19 since 2009, Lambert has released two studio albums, as well as collections of live tracks and remixes. His latest album, "Trespassing," debuted at number-one on the Billboard 200, with sources saying conversations are already underway about a third CD. A rock album would be the nail in the coffin of his radio play career. But something like P!INK's Pop/Rock stuff would work. I wonder if Max Martin is available? |

Oh, that was not meant to be an insult at Clay, more of a poke at myself having incomplete & limited knowledge when it comes to AI, 'cuz I only really watched Adam's season and learned about everything after I joined Atop.
I watched a couple of youtube of Clay's performance way back, and I think he's got a good broadway voice and talented in his own way. But honestly, IMO, he got very lucky coming on the scene before the new digital era arrived, and he was/would still be very difficult to fit into the music scene. Although not my cupa, I totally respect your love & passion. And he is funny!!! He educated me about the word "snark" Great voice, snarky personality, unfortunately not suited for the entertainment industry at all. Clay has A LOT of opinions, and doesnt care about filter ... |
