*** Kelly's Greatest Hits finally makes an appearance in the top 100 at #69, while Ke$ha's Warrior slips down to #601
*** TSP stays #1 on 京东's bestsellers.

I had an invite to the Rockstar Summit & couldn't go. Sounds like it was a good one too! There is always free food and free drinks and free gifts, so it is fun. Of course, with the hail yesterday, probably good that I didn't drive into LA!

The CCTV's annual Chinese New Year Gala --- the single most watched program on national TV, was broadcast live last night in China, and I was expecting one of the performers, Li Yundi, to take the lead on Amazon (he was in 3rd place before the show). Li Yundi, an extremely high-profile pop culture figure in China, is a world-renowned classical pianist, probably most well known for being the youngest as well as the first Chinese pianist to win the International Frédéric Chopin Piano Competition in 2000, at the age of 18. A couple of hours after the show, 10 of his CDs flooded into the top 20 of Bestsellers on Amazon, taking over every single spot from #3 all the way to #12. Celine Dion also got a nice bump from being the only foreign performer (she sang "my heart will go on" and a duet with another hugely popular Chinese folk singer, in Chinese), one of her collection CDs hiked up to #33 but her Jan release remained outside the top 100. AND...to my surprise and great delight, it was still the same handsome face that I'd been looking at for the past 4, 5 days perching on the no.1 spot! Not only that, both FYE and GNL were also in the top 20!!  Now, here are the stats at the moment on Amazon Bestsellers: TSP #1 FYE #21 GNL #37 *** Kelly #323 and Ke$ha #387 And, TSP stays #1 on 京东's weekly bestsellers. |

The order of names in groups with the same number of items is by position on chart.
Interesting to note that of the idols with more than one album out only Kelly, Adam and Clay are selling more of the current title than previous. For the others their first albums are higher on the charts than others. Also Archuleta and Allen have only the two versions of their first on the chart.

Maddie, the first time I went was Adam's year. You just had, to make a request. If they had room, you got a ticket. That year they sold out. Since then, they send me an invitation by e-mail. Last 2 years have not sold out  It is a small gathering. Maybe 200 people. |
