Joy sums it up perfectly. That comes through clearly from him and the fans. What a gift.
And I too hope Adam knows how much he is cared about. I sometimes wonder about his view where he is, for it has to be somewhat different from his vantage point. But what truly I hope he sees is that his fans aren't just blindly idolizing him but that they truly care about him. We may look like a bunch of crazy people with nothing better to do than follow a celebrity around but it is so much better than that. He has made it more than that. He has made it personal, by sharing so much of himself. When you let the world in, it allows them to care for the real person. I hope he feels that.

“Gonna party ‘til they take us away” – my little Helsinki recap!
We came back home from Helsinki last night and we were lucky: The ferry ride from Helsinki to Travemünde took “only” 28 hours and the sea was quiet, so no storm and seasickness this time like one week before on our way to Finland, YAY!!!
And the whole trip to Helsinki was great, I’m so glad that I overcame my fears and did it, everything was so worth it! Thanks again to everyone who convinced and encouraged me before! I HAD THE TIME OF MY LIFE!!!
So many things happened in the last few days, everything is still so unreal to me. I never thought I could do all this but everything went well and we had so much fun together with all the other Glamberts from all over the world!
Helsinki is such a beautiful city! There are many old impressive buildings and we went sightseeing in the city center many times and took a lot of photos! The weather was also very good, there was still much snow and it was freezing cold, but we had sunshine and a deep blue sky every day!
Unfortunately I was not so lucky to meet Adam like many others did, although we sneaked around his hotel almost every day when we were doing our little sightseeing-tours in the city center of Helsinki. I so hoped that it would happen, it would have been my biggest wish to talk to him and get a little photo together with him, sigh! I hope that one day I will also be so lucky to meet him personally, like Albiku and QueeenAl were this time! I’m very happy for both of you, girls!!!
The first time I met foreign Glamberts in Helsinki was, when my DH and I immediately decided to go to the train station to welcome Adam and Sauli, after I read about it half an hour before in the internet in the hotel room. So we jumped into a taxi to drive to the station (as you all know unfortunately A + S left the train one station before!) and there were already many Finnberts and international Glamberts (US, France, Russia, …) waiting there. It was so nice to meet all of them and we talked to strangers as if we had known them for a long time before! On the evening of the same day there was the big Pre-Party in the Namu-Restaurant, which was well organized by the Finnberts (thanks again for the hospitality!!!). It was such a lovely evening, we had a buffet and we talked to so many international Glamberts again. There were even some ladies from the US who came to Helsinki for Adams concert, but they were no Atoppers. At this party I also finally met some of our dear Atoppers and EVERYONE was so sweet! I immediately felt connected to everyone and we talked a lot and had such a great time together! I’m happy that some of them convinced my DH and me to come with them to the DTM-Club afterwards because there the party continued and we all had much fun together until late at night!
The next day was the concert day. We went to the arena with a taxi and there were already many people waiting in line. A few minutes later the doors opened and so we could go in and search for our seats. We had good seats at the side in row 11. In our block we also met some of our dear friends from Atop again (and other Glamberts we had met the day before on the party). We wore our “Adamtopia” badges when suddenly a friendly woman one row behind me recognized the sign and told us, that she is an Atopian, too! It was Coconutgrove with her dear son, what a nice surprise!
Then the concert started and I didn’t need my seat anymore! I stood the whole time, dancing, singing very loud and of course screaming, haha!!! My dear hubby took some videos and you can hear me squealing in them all the time, lol!!! Unfortunately we only could take our smaller camera with us into the hall, so we couldn’t take any good pic’s of Adam because the stage was too far away.
Adam sang brilliant as always and put on a fantastic show, highlights for me were the little funny episodes like the rotating stool, the “honey comb” with the Vajayjay’s or his floor dancing! And of course my heart melted when he dedicated “Broken English” to Sauli! (BTW, unfortunately I didn’t see Sauli in the arena like others did!) I loved that we got “Hot Stuff”, “AYGGMW” and “Shout” but I was a little sad, that he didn’t sing “Stay/Underneath” again because I would have loved to hear both songs live. Of course the concert went by too fast, although we had 22 songs! At the end it was so funny, how Adam and the band cracked up on stage because the staff had accidentally begun to remove parts of Rick’s drums and had to quickly put it back up again!
Oh and videos can’t show how much the black and yellow TP jacket at the end of the show sparkles in reality! I couldn’t take my eyes off it, I loved it so much!!!
When the concert was over, Postfestum organized a bigger taxi for all of us and we drove to the “Tiger” club in the city center, where a table full of yummy drinks was already waiting for us Atoppers in our reserved booth! It was a great feeling to sit in this booth next to the big dancefloor, I almost felt like a VIP, haha!!! And especially the vodka/cranberry-drinks were very tasty … errrm … yes!!! Perhaps I had a little too many of all the colored and sparkling drinks because I felt (and behaved!) like a 20-year-old girl again! We all had so much fun together and we talked and laughed and I even danced a lot, I hadn’t done this for ages!!! But I think that Lilly was definitely our party queen, she danced the whole time in front of our table! Unfortunately Adam and Sauli never attended the party (or, as we heard later, only for a short time in a special VIP area on another floor!) like the DJ said several times at that evening! But our motto was “gonna party ‘til they take us away” and so we continued … well … until the lights went on in the club and the party was over and we had to leave! But not without taking the last bottle of sparkling with us because there was still something in it! We finished the bottle on the street in front of the club, haha (OMG, am I 16 again?)! We were home in our hotel at 5 a.m. and had to check out and leave the next morning, UGH! But somehow we managed to get up after 4 hours of sleep and to get breakfast before leaving!
I was so sad that I had to leave Helsinki and all my dear new friends there, that I started crying in the car, when we were waiting in line to check in for the ferry. I wish I could have stayed some more days and I hope I can come back to Helsinki one day because I liked it there so much!
I never thought that there could be such a big connection between “strangers” who only know each other from writing in a fan-forum but it really happened. There was such a warm and friendly atmosphere between all of us, it was like we had known each other for years! And everyone was so helpful re. my little handicaps, thanks again for your support! I hope we all can meet somewhere again one day and continue our party! I really miss all of you and my thoughts are still in Helsinki! Fortunately I have many photos and all the good memories that I can live on for a while …!

What a great recap, betty! I'm so glad you decided to go for it and that you had such a wonderful time. It really is true, as you say, that there is an instant connection between Adam fans so even if someone has to attend a concert alone, that person never has to feel alone! These memories will stay with you and make you smile forever. That's the gift of Adam and his fandom!
