Several news outlets in Finland have published the split-up news. The most active entertainment news websites (IS, IL, MTV3) have done several short news bits, the continuation to the originals news is based on tweets and FB and reader's comments. All mention that no direct comments are received. The tone in the articles has been very good, the text part fact-oriented and short. (Links have been posted already.)
I guess that friday night all were first waiting for some kind of confirmation or press release and trying to get hold of Sauli. The timing to release the news on friday night here restricts the articles to the websites and so does the 'no comments' part. However, the news will surely be cycled and recycled during the week. Actually, the news in its short version did make the weekend print edition of a tabloid, Ilta-Sanomat. But with 'no comments' and very little time the size of the article (with NY fashion week pic) was less than 1/4 of the page. The tabloids may try to prolong the cycle by getting more gossipy but with any luck it could well be that the news will be old in a couple of days for them.
The two trashy magazines will do a spread no doubt, with or without comments from S or A, and add some gossip where both A&S will get their share. (One of them started on their website like you saw yesterday.) It's just the way the this kind of press works and there's no reason to be offended by it. If the 'no comments' policy holds they might print a lot of photos with a couple of sentences only. I expect other magazines that will join in next week to keep it short.
I think that regarding Finnish press the way Adam made this public is thought-out and should make as little waves as possible. Sauli will probably be harrassed by them for a long time but there's no way to avoid that. Both of them are public figures and just have to cope with the questions.
