I just read through yesterday's news. Here are a couple things I've learned in the last few days. - I'm glad I was not emotionally invested in Adam/Sauli other than being happy for them and having glowing Adam. As my fanhood has developed over the 4 years, I have become less affected by all things personal to him, lack of recognition (radio, etc.), for instance. If the AMA performance had happened today, with my current state of being, I would not have been so shaken up by it. For this, I am grateful. I still am an intense fan but don't feel all things so personally. Much better for mental health. I don't know if others of you have experienced a lessened intensity about these types of things over time.
- Condos are not real homes (joking). I lived for many years in condos and loved that I could remodel and decorate them as I wanted. I acquired some of my home improvement skills involving power tools (I miss Noreaster and her tools).
- Some Finnberts have an apparent "dirty" secret about Adam. (Kinda wish that people who have secrets didn't announce that they have one.)
- Q3 is more amazing than I thought--working 100 hours/week while keeping up Atop and starting a contest.
- We can speculate and speculate, but all we really know is a few sentence quoted in an interview and that there has been a lack of pictures of Adam and Sauli out and about.
- Adam has been doing a lot more "mugging" in photos that last month (is it?) or so.
Okay, I've got to get back to doing income taxes. I've had students at a music festival for two days and performed at it myself. I'm exhausted.
Later, everyone!

[sighs; throws off mod hat; speaks solely as self]
Adam's not much younger than my siblings, so when he does certain things a strange "big sister" exasperation comes out.
Despite the fact that he is, in fact, a stranger living a real life I truly know nothing about, I still feel like yelling at him like my little brother saying "Dammit, you could have made that work, but you were so busy that you didn't try hard enough". Complete projection. I know. I know. But hearing people say "Oh 31 is too young to settle down" bothers me. Because even if kids aren't in the equation, life at 31 is crazy enough for anyone to crave a partner to help equilabrate the jagged edges of life. Its the time where you often realize that where you thought you were going may be different where you are now and a rock helps stabilize you.
If Sauli had been a bad person, I'd of course feel totally different. But there's such a proverbial "The One Who Got Away" feeling with him. [snorts wryly] The kind of feeling that musicians frequently write miserable songs about 5 years down the road when the person they broke up with finds happiness with someone else while they slap themselves on the head going "what the hell was I thinking at the time??"
While I would love some great music from Adam, I guess in my "big sister" fannish way, I don't want it if its generated out of his unhappiness. Now, based on the latest photographs, both Adam and Sauli are out and about, smiling at least for the cameras. I may be the only one mooning over their ended relationship.
However, still feel like slapping him upside the head this morning.

11 hours ago iilove said: I have been debating with myself if i want to step out of the lurking mode and put my 2 cents out since yesterday, but my decision is "F*ck it", I am gonna say it and then back to my lurking status. I suppose we all feel sad about the break-up, but no one will feel sadder or more upset about the split up than Adam and Sauli themselves. No matter how they handled it, no matter how calm & happy they looked on the outside, it must be a hard time for both of them. But because they are in the public eyes, they had to put a mask on. For some people, seeing Adam looked happy and in the bars meant he wasn't serious about this relationship and the break-up meant nothing to him. But putting yourself in Adam's shoes, do you want to show the whole world how messed up you are right now? do you really want to share the tears and frustration with all the strangers (including us fans and especially us fans) out there? Will it help anything? People handle things differently. Talking about break-ups, some would rather stay at home sulking for months, some would go out partying, drinking for months. You can do the way you like when you are in that circumstance, but how unfair it is to judge another person when s/he handles the situation different than you? Also, why you guys think it's Adam ended the relationship? From what I can gather, Sauli was most likely the one who ended the whole thing. Adam rent the condo with sauna and easy living environment for Sauli (IMO). Adam singing STAY during most of the tour. Adam liked Sauli's new posted pictures while touring. Need I mention more? I wasn't saying Adam is innocent here because whatever caused this breakup, he's part of it. I just couldn't see him ending this relationship. All I saw is how he's trying to save it. We don't know how the future holds for both men, but i think the least we can do right now for our idols (be it Adam, Sauli, or both) is to support them and show them some love. When they are down, we should be it. OK. I'm done. See you next time. Don't know if I'm doing this right but here goes. Also stepping out of lurking to say, iilove you captured just what I was feeling. Its true we know very little, as it should be and even though I am here because of Adam I also fell in love with Sauli. Just want to wish both of them love and happiness. On another note Q3 could you please change my prediction for the 2M followers - is is listed wrong it should be April 23 19:38. I'm glad I was not emotional invested in Adam/Sauli other than being happy for them and having glowing Adam. [aughs wryly] Not there yet. Working on it.

YW, hoppers! I'll try to bring over some info I happen to see when I have time, especially if that happens to be during the time the US is sleeping. My post was the result of checking what is happening when I had coffee early sunday afternoon here. Another observation from that peek into the twitterland. There were an oddly big number of identical tweets from different accounts: i find Adam Lambert hot when i was a kid...... Most of the tweeters had a pic of a 20 something girl in their icon. So WTF??? That looks manufactured to me but if they want to create Adam-related traffic... maybe that's not a problem. 8-)

Agree. I have bad associations with this kind of statements.
