I'm sorry I know I should let this go, but being stubborn is a personality trait that I have trouble with. Sometimes an omission can be an insult for example: If someone asked if I would like to celebrate my birthday with my friend Susan, and I answered "yes she is a great friend, and so much fun" that does not insult other fiends. On the other hand, if someone asked would I like to celebrate my birthday with Susan and Mary, and I answered,"Susan is such a great friend and so much fun I would be thrilled to celebrate with her" Mary would be completely justified in feeling insulted. What made the RS answer an insult was that Adam's name was included in the question.

I guess we are on the same wavelength. There are other actions of hers toward Adam, outside of the two interviews, that helped me to form my opinion. I'll DM them to you since we seem to be in the minority.

Momtomany - Thank you so much for taking the time to rewrite your story. It made me feel like I was there. I may have to reread it a few more times...

"Pop That Lock" was one of my suggestions a few days ago for their duet. It's pop-rockish, and I think it'd be a great, upbeat choice if they perform a song from his album. The lyrics are inspirational and fitting for the situation she and all the other contestants are in. Only issue might be that Adam just did it on a talk show in China and that performance will air soon (but most folks in the American audience won't see it). And the fact the he's recently performed it could be a plus because there's already footage showing AI producers that the song works on TV and it serves as sort of a dry run for Adam. also would be an awesome summer single if by some miraculous chance the song takes off after millions of viewers hear it on the finale But, in any case, it represents the fun, fierce side of the album and might entice more people to check out Trespassing. Hope Adam looks as amazing on Idol as he looked this weekend off national TV accepting his well-deserved GLAAD awards. My silent mantra for the week, just maintain. I LOVE "Pop that Lock" , and think that would be a great choice. I didn't consider it because I would classify it as dance pop??. I love it, too! You might be right that the song is dance pop. It certainly makes me dance every time I hear it. I can't resist moving, no matter what I'm doing when it comes on. I'm not very good at music classifications. The song has a hard edge to me, in vocals and instrumentation, so I hear it as pop rock. Think it would be well suited for Angie and her "Dreamers." (I will just ignore the multiple meanings of the lyrics for the sake of my fantasy. : ) Adam:Left, right, step up to the spotlight Why you actin' uptight? I'm takin' you to school (that's right) High, low, don't tell me you don't know how to ever let go I'm takin you to school (that's right) Angie:Tonight we burn it all Get hot, get tall Yeah we're lighter than air You got the key to your release So pop that lock until you're lighter than air Together:If you wanna be it You've got to dream If you got the key then, baby, pop that lock If you wanna free it You have got to scream If you got the key then, baby, pop that lock Banjee Boys and Dancey Girls get down down down (could have the other AI contestants come out and join them on backup)Adam:Work [it], you don't gotta stress this Got 'em feelin' restless, show 'em how it's done (alright) Secret, don't care if you don't keep it Don't care if you leak it, show 'em how it's done (alright) Together:Tonight we burn it all Get hot, get tall Yeah we're lighter than air You got the key to your release So pop that lock until you're lighter than air Angie:If you wanna be it You've got to dream If you got the key then, baby, pop that lock Together:If you wanna free it You have got to scream If you got the key then, baby, pop that lock Banjee Boys and Dancey Girls get down down down Get down Get down And so on. Or something like that.

Just a quick observation that if and when Jennifer Hudson sings on the finale...there will be two non-winners on the finale for the first time...and in all honesty, Jennifer's presence is more notable considering she left in 7th place....just saying...it will be a co-record! That does not in any way diminish Adam's achievements but keeping it real. ;-)
ETA..Love Pop That Lock and how you broke it up Misha! I think that would be perfect although not holding out huge hopes!

Adam is going to be doing a duet with Angie on Thursday. I expect it will be great. But I want to comment on Angie-gate. ** In all of this, the happiness about Adam being on the Idol finale, being the first non-winner to return to Idol and perform on the finale, is being lost. Let's not let that happen. My post disappeared. WOW..Adam fans sure move on quickly. I left yesterday in GLAAD bliss to come back today re-reading the rest of yesterday's thread and Angie-gate???? Why all of a sudden is this chick important? We get to see Adam on the Finale of Idol!!!! The duet will be fun because Adam is a great duet partner. I like the idea of PTL too. Uptempo. Great dance tune. After this, Angie will ride off into the sunset and all this anger will be for naught. Then we can gear up for LifeBall. I know everyone has a right to opinion and I'm not trying to override that. I personally don't get it. IMO a waste of energy. Let's have some fun..it's a huge night for Adam!! Watch Trespassing get another bounce, bounce, bounce.. ETA: Edited the whole wonderful Q3 post as it has been commented on a bunch. Still reading the thread as you can see..

I have been thinking a bit about what Adam and Angie might sing. And I have it -- they could perform "No Boundaries" It is possible that they sing WWFM or Mad World which are Adam's most famous songs. I can't imagine Adam would do either without making it a medley or changing it up in some way. Adam never did IIHY on Idol. It is his second biggest hit and pop-rock. It would work as a duet. It is Disney-worthy so OK for Angie. Of his other singles BTIKM seems most likely except it is mid-tempo. TFM - would be difficult for Angie to sing. Does not reflect Adam's direction then or now. FYE - not on Idol, not suitable for Angie to sing, not happening Aftermath - done on Idol BTIKM - never done on Idol, would be a great duet. NCOE - done on Idol Trespassing - never done on Idol, would make no sense for Angie to sing, not happening ** If Adam and Angie do a cover, my money is on and upbeat, current pop song -- like "Domino" by Jessie J.
