Did we know about this? @lifeball: there will be a livestream of the life ball opening with #adamlambert and many others on www.ustream.tv/lifeballand re question about password: Lifeball @lifeball @tiihe that's just at the moment as the channel is under construction. on may 25 no passwort will be needed to see the livestream! Totally agree. I admit that I'm no longer a fan of the show, but he was also the first contestant to mentor (and the ONLY one so far). So I have to give Idol credit for their treatment of him. With the exception of the JUDGE fiasco of course.  I was not a fan of the show this season, but I still am an Idol fan. I am glad they are getting all new judges and just wish they made betterer choices in the first place. |

Oh my gosh, I laughed so hard tears ran down my face. Thank you so much for this, although personally I have not experienced any of these! I must be too far south. I was once warned (too late) not to travel in Saskatchewan at night because of deer and moose crossing the highways. |

Today, FOX Network executives are presenting at the advertising upfronts. The goal of these presentations is to sell advertisers on their programming. FOX Chairman, Kevin Reilly held executive conference call as part of this event. More about the TV Upfront here: www.adweek.com/2013-14-upfront Here is what he said on Idol judges... Will Idol be back to 3 judges next season? Reilly: “Likely.” Is it confirmed that the 4 current American Idol judges will
not be coming back? To what extent did the judging panel had anything
to do with the ratings this year? Reilly: “It’s confirmed that one judge is not coming back, Obviously Randy. It’s not a complete shock. We’ve talked to Randy about things and it feels like it was time to move. We didn’t know the exact timing of it. He’s been a great partner for 12 years. There’s not an ounce of ill will there either way. [On the judges contributing to the ratings downward spiral] Reilly: "I really can’t comment on that. I think there is a confluence of things …I think even more so than any other one factor is…the age of the show. But I think maybe the format this year–we expanded some of the middle rounds. We did a boy/girl thing that went over 3 weeks. That is really where the ratings kind of took their biggest hit so if I were really to point to any one thing, it might have been that format. The only thing I will confirm is next year that we will be, without getting into any specifics–our next season begins on Friday morning after our finale. And that’s when we’re really going to go to work in earnest. Because I think the format, more than anything, will have a few fresh twists next year that we already identified that I think will really be a nice little jolt for next season.”
Would the other 3 judges be welcome back, or is that still an open decision? Reilly: “Welcome back? Absolutely. But everything at this point is on the table and we’ll talk about it starting Friday.” |

I'm not going to get upset with Angie's comments, because I can easily imagine this happening before the season eight finale:
Interviewer: You’ll be back to sing on the finale next week, and there are rumors you’ll duet with either KISS or your own personal idol David Bowie. Any truth to those rumors?
Adam: I don’t know 100% what’s going on yet. I would die if I were able to sing with David Bowie. That would be the most incredible thing ever, so I hope it happens.
And then, of course, Adam fans would be defending Adam and laughing at the KISS fans who took it as an insult to their favorite group. When all it really is, is a huge fan of a particular artist getting excited about the possibility of singing a duet with that artist. Just as it was with Angie, whose exact words I used above, just substituting a couple of names.
Not everyone has to have Adam as their very favorite singer. The fact that Angie would love to sing with her idol, Jessie J, does not mean that she isn't also honored to sing with Adam.

It seems very likely that Adam will hit 2,000,000 on Twitter tomorrow, and oddly, not one of us picked May 14th! Somebody who picked the 13th or 15th will come closest. Darn -- the 14th is my Mom's b-day...my pick was the 9th (son's bday) at 14:15 (mom's bday (14) and dad's bday (15). Never won a trifecta either. |

Not meaning to beat a dead horse, but as one who was on team Angie was being Rude in her RS comment, I now think the fault is RS's. The way the question was set up with both artists mentioned, I believe just about anyone with decent manners, which I am sure Angie has, would have said something nice about both artists. To not mention one of the artists, especially if you knew you would have a huge duet together is too odd to be believed. So I think RS left of the part of her comment that went something like "Adam is a great singer and I am thrilled to perform with him"
