I know this will a very unpopular point of view, but I don't think Titanium is good choice given the terrible gun violence we have had in US recently. I know that the shooting imagery is metaphorical, but still it just does not seem appropriate at this point in time. I am sure they will do a great job with it vocally and I like the tempo and melody, but it makes me cringe to hear someone sing about shooting. I really wish he had done one of his own songs instead. Sorry to be a downer, but this is my honest opinion.

Ack! My stream keeps blurring and buffering and I don't usually have that problem. Gonna go get some breakfast/lunch (11.30am Friday here) and pray it miraculously clears up when HBIC walks RC *fingers crossed*

I have part of the scoop. Universal is going to sign her. Jessie J. is on a UMG label. Universal was instrumental in making this happen. (Also, I believe a large check was involved but that is a rumor not confirmed.) She also is the first Finalist to have a single released before the show ended. ETA: I do not believe any Idol watcher even considered that Angie would do 2 duets! Angie just said that Universal isn't involved with her single...another label (she gave a name, not sure if it is a label or not). Jimmy isn't involved. I think she said another "studio" rather than another "label". But definitely, Jimmy was not involved as the producer. She worked with a different producer. |

Maybe her Feature artists are here?! I don't really care what she is doing! Soooooooooooo excited to see Adam! I am so excited to see and hear Adam do Titanium -- I cannot imagine a better song for him to sing! It has those huge high notes. He would have been better than Sia on the recording. GOOD!.. So Adam doesn't need to hold back that AMAZING & BEAUTIFUL VOICE |

So Angie DOES get 2 duets! I imagine Candice & Kree will be performing the very last song with an artist as a trio - seems to be AI tradition. So weird!!! I don't think they do that every year. Maybe that's why Amber twitted "Idol definitely has their favorite" |

I do not remember any finalist getting two duets! Perhaps they are showcasing Angie as a way to hedge their bets to make sure someone emerges from this season in case the top two don't "connect". Clearly the judges were shocked when Angie was eliminated and perhaps the Idol machinery was as well. Sorry some are disappointed that Adam isn't promoting Trespassing. I felt all along that was not going to happen. Why would it? Idol is not going to be into a single that did not connect on their big showcase of the season and certainly not a song that is not known to a huge swath of their viewers. I am thrilled he got a great song instead of a tired one. He will be amazing and I am so jazzed that he is on the finale. We were not expecting it. |
