I know,Nag,nag,nag... I'm determined...LOL while waiting for LIFEBALL... Titanium Don't think of your reminders as nagging to me they are a valuable service to the cause. I have been trying to watch the WATN Package to up its count a little too. It only has a little more than 52,000. I think a decent view count on the WATN would also show a certain TV show a nice level of fan interest. Of course, since it isn't a performance the count is bound to be far less, but would be nice if it was higher.

I am so excited about Life Ball, and how perfect it is for Adam. I have been curious about how he got tapped for this gig. I wonder if this has anything to do with the exposure he got from the Queen concerts? However it came about, nobody could be more perfect for the Ali Baba role or the vocals that go with it. I've wondered too and when I heard the song snippet yesterday, I realized not everyone could sing that song. I wonder if the songwriters requested him? Especially when you see their eyes in that promo video from 2 weeks ago. It's like they are saying to themselves, "Yup! I knew we needed Adam Lambert for this song!" Well I don't know if Elton John is still involved with the Life Ball (he certainly was in the past). Not beyond the bounds of possibility he put in a word? As we know, he really likes Adam.

Especially when you see their eyes in that promo video from 2 weeks ago. It's like they are saying to themselves, "Yup! I knew we needed Adam Lambert for this song!" Adam was involved with the songwriting at the end, so it is possible the melody was arranged for his vocal. ** On selection of singer, it is all over the board (list below). This year's decision was made by Musical Co-Directors Werner Stranka and Martin Gellner. My guess is they picked Adam because he is the/one of the most prominent current male gay vocalist in the world AND one of the best pop vocalists in the world. WWFM was a big hit in Austria. Adam's performances with Queen would demonstrate he could handle the pressure and do the part and sing almost anything. Life Ball SongThe performance of the Life Ball Song marks the official opening of the Ball. 2002: Live for the moment performed by Hot Pants Road Club, Dorretta Carter, Rounder Girls, Eddie Cole, Cedric Lee Bradley, Christian Kolonovits, and the Ambassade Orchester Wien 2003: High Life performed by Gianna, Loud 9, Sandra Pires, and Family Bizz 2004: Immer lauter (louder and louder) performed by Nina Hagen 2005: instead of the traditional song, the Vienna State Opera Ballet, choirs, singers and DJs performed an overture for the opening of the Ball in front of Vienna’s city hall. 2006: Everything Can Change performed by Rebekka Bakken 2007: Get A Life – Get Alive, performed by Austrian casting show Starmania contestant Eric Papilaya, was also Austria’s contribution to the Eurovision Song Contest. 2008: The Life performed by transgender icon Amanda Lepore, club host, show host and singer Mel Merio and Chicks on Speed 2009: I Bring You Love performed by Cindy Gomez together with composer David A. Steward 2011: Ask the Universe performed by Cheyenne Jackson 2012: Melody Angel, Judith Hill, Truth Hurts und Natalia Kelly - Blindfold Judith Hill is currently a The Voice (US) contestant.

Man those Idol Judge rumors are spreading like wildfire. I'm glad there's something fabulous going on to distract me from the speculation.

The NY Post has picked up the E! News story and still no denial from anyone -- www.nypost.com/p/pagesix/jennifer_hudson_signs_on_as_idol_fCWidolcO2uiswHW1vT5BLThe only response is Kelly's reps saying she will not be judging American Idol but oddly did not deny that there was a discussion. It still looks like a story that everyone is happy to let run through the weekend so that it masked the bad news about Idol's ratings (down 22%), Mike Darnell departure and the poor single sales from AI12 singles -- Candice did not even sell as much as Adam's NoBo! On more important Idol news, Titantium is up to 498,407 and should hit 500,000 on the next update.
