I am ok if we don't get a good video of this one and I see why Adam didn't make a pre announcement to his fans. Whenever Adam has been asked how he survived his youth and not fitting in, he sites theater. He has called it his community. This is where he spent his adult life prior to Idol and this is where his friends came from and still are. He spent the past week emersed in the shows as an audience member, visiting colleagues backstage and friends after. It must have felt so good to be invited on stage to make something powerful, bigger than himself. He wasn't there as an Idol "winner", or as an international superstar, he was there as a fellow theater kid who could sing his face off for the house. We will hear him sing the national anthem again some day. I am just glad last night he was able to be one with his community again. Oh yes ,I so agree with you.. beautifully put. The evening wasn't about ADAM.. He was part of the whole and a very beautiful part ![]() ![]() |
