I wonder if it has dawned at anyone at RCA that Shady and Daft Punk's "Get Lucky" (a major hit) have some similarities--and not just Nile's guitar. Adam was ahead of the curve on that one. I hope the fact that Adam was ahead of of the popularity curve with Shady and also Trespassing and PTL is noted by potential labels. So glad he left the rather shortsighted RCA. Though like many here, I feel grateful to them for support they have given him in the past.

Yes, what you say is most likely true but there is the satisfaction of getting that number of hits consistently over these months because of the quality of that performance. Setting a goal is good for rallying - even if the end result is that it is not a game changer. Any little impression made on the collective consciousness is helpful It is not being noticed and has not made an impression. So if you enjoy doing it, then I say do it. But if you are doing it because you think it will make a difference, I strongly recommend passing. The video is almost 2 months old. It is not getting news coverage. It will not go viral. And if it did it would help Angie not Adam. Regarding doing something like this for rallying, why not pick something to do in Adam's name that will make a difference and be noticed. Stream his single on a measured media, put together something for Trevor Project in his name, build an online art project, share some great video of Adam, etc.? I am posting about this because I have received a number of emails and PMs from fans who are doing this and want to know if it matters. After almost 2 months, these videos are not getting a lot of plays...and with what appears to be a lot of effort Titanium is about where it would have been without the effort. IF you want to play a YouTube video to support Adam, then why pick a duet where Adam is listed second? And why pick an Idol video -- he has been working to distance himself from Idol as an artist? And in light of Adam's open letter, why pick a cover song performance?IF you are doing it because it is a beautiful vocal performance (which it is), no one in the music industry doubts that Adam is a great vocalist, so picking a video that demonstrates he can sing makes no sense to me. If there is a question about Adam's potential success as a recording artist (and I do not believe there is, I think there is a view that RCA mishandled Adam and that Adam needs a different creative environment), the doubt would be about his capabilities as a singer-songwriter to connect with a large audience. So, if you want to help Adam, and you want something to rally around, them here are choices for a video -- my recommendation is the Trespassing VEVO Lyric Video -- Adam will earn a little money for every play as a bonus. And this video's views are noticeably low. Adam Lambert - Trespassing (Official Lyric Video) 2,215,490 views Like 19,962 Dislike 413 And this is the single he wanted to release. It is a song he wrote. And this is the song that has lyrics that fit this moment. I don't need no sympathy. I won't cry and whine. Life's my light and liberty And I'll shine when I wanna shine.
Make their faces crack There's no turnin back. Let's GO!Personally, I will wait until Adam ask fans to do something -- and expect he will ask for something related to his new music. Then he will have 1000% support from me. <<Off my soapbox. Sorry for my long post. But I strongly believe there are better ways to focus this same energy.>>
Thanks for the suggestions of these other things to do. I always respect your opinion and I do some of your list as well. My thoughts at this point are that it is very close to what the cited goal was of 1,00,000. There is a sense of satisfaction in that and there is a difference between doing something that attracts you and doing something that you need to do (like whacking!). Titanium is always a joy to click on. Very little effort. We also don't always know the ramifications. There might not be an "objective" impression but that doesn't mean there isn't any impression. Not wanting to be stubborn and definitely happy for all your input, but some of us have been at this awhile and feel there is a reason to be at this (whether rational or not). So I imagine we are just going to see this through and then move on to more tangible objective ways to help such as what you are pointing out and the ones which will come on strongly when the new music comes out.

I see there is some rumor/hopefulness that Queenbert will play at the iHeart Radio Festival in Las Vegas in September. Does anyone know how long the individual artists/bands play at this festival? Short sets, full sets? Thanks. peace&love I've been offline for several hours so things may have changed, but when I left there was pretty much skepticism about this rumor. Maybe there's an update! Off to check twitter........

That's the first time I've heard that "lucky" song. In order of annoyance: 1. Is that falsetto even in tune? - gack 2. I really despise songs with only a few lyrics which are repeated ad naseum 3. Adam's version is way better. Yes, it sounds WAY familiar at least the first time they run through the repeated BS Turned it off after 2 minutes.

Yes, I am very sorry to hear of Cory's death. Though he was born in Calgary, Alberta, he grew up in Victoria, BC and was our local boy who overcame difficulties to become a success. He seemed like such a good role model both on and off the screen, so it is doubly sad that his addictions dragged him down. I remember Adam said he had a dark period in his life. I sincerely hope that he never returns to that and his life is filled with light and love.

I play "Trespassing" and a few others from VEVO every morning, and I bet lots of other people on this forum do that too. I've also been having fun watching the numbers go up for the A/A duet and I do love to listen to it as I play it.
