Seriously, if they make Lea have to act out her grief on screen that would be just cruel. They will not put her in this position.
I am probably in the minority, but Adam with Queen at IHeart is not the news I am hoping for. I need to hear that he has a major label deal. Let him do IHeart when it is his own material that is being recognized. After all the stress about the whole "cover album" thing, news that he will be fronting Queen is not what I am looking for.

Movietainment @movietainment 35m #News Adam Lambert Leaves RCA Over 'Creative Differences' bit.ly/142Xg9d @aceshowbiz See larger image Photo credit: Brian To/WENN Adam Lambert is no longer associated with RCA Records after turning down an offer to record an album of 1980s cover songs. In an open letter to The Hollywood Reporter, the 31-year-old singer cites "creative differences" as the reason behind the split. "I've had an amazing few years working with the team at RCA; I admire all of them a great deal," Lambert, whose two albums were released under the label, writes, "At this point, [the label and I] are indeed having the oft-cited 'creative differences' as to what my next project will be." Lambert goes on to say that the executives of RCA are indeed "pushing for" the covers album. "[It] feels that [the album] is the only kind of release they are prepared to support," he continues. "While there are lots of great songs from that decade, my heart is simply not in doing a covers album." "Over the past four years, I have been truly fortunate to work with an amazing roster of producers, writers and engineers. Thanks to them, I have grown as both a songwriter and a vocalist. Artistically & professionally, I think it is essential that I continue with this evolution," he adds. In the letter, Lambert also reveals that he's currently working on the follow-up to 2012's "Trespassing". "I am already deep into writing new material with some very talented colleagues for a brand new album, and I can't tell you how excited I am to share this new sound & direction," he says. © AceShowbiz.co

Took me a long time to read all the rest (while making a tentative room res. at MGM lol) of this thread!
IF IHR w/Queen & Adam is true, is there any possibility that they might include an original song of Adam's in their set? Seems farfetched, but I'm wondering what the actual point of this appearance would be if not.
I mean of course it will bring so much pleasure to us Adam fans and many Queen fans, but without a single to push or any kind of tour to promote, why do something radio related? To help Adam earn goodwill with radio stations?
I mean, from what I read here today, the point of IHR is radio promotion, they do not get paid cash for the appearance right? Or do they?
I'm so hopeless even though I'm reading everything!

I kind of agree with you here. He left RCA because he refuses to do covers, then his first big televised performance is a bunch of covers?? I don't get it.

They won't. Ryan Murphy will do it right.

I don't watch Glee, but it feels like a big difference between singing covers on a major show that is (almost) all about covers, versus putting out an album under your own name that is only covers. Edit : Before the Glee news and RCA news broke, I recall thinking that IF he were to put out something of only covers, it would be nice to have a collection of live performances of the covers he's already done. I don't need the studio versions. Goodness knows whether such a thing would be possible, but it'd be nice. :D
