Since all these stations will be promoting QAL(orALQ  ), is it possible they will play some of the songs, or at least clips, from last year's concerts in advance of the festival? For those here who have personal connections, will it be good to talk with djs about that? It seems many of them, up to this point at least, have been unaware those concerts even happened. Maybe DMG and Shoshanna have already handled that... So much good stuff coming. And it's really cute that Miley is excited about Adam! No I doubt they will play anything from QAL 2012 on US Radio. Some Classic Rock stations might play the Queen studio recordings in advance. *** adamfanem - I think Adam's career has moved up to a new level. Partly because of DMG, and mostly because he is so talented and so charming/nice. And because he has gotten support from many powerful and influential people -- Elton, Brian and Roger, Nile, Pharrel, and so on.... One thing he got from his RCA time, was the chance to work with a who's who of talent. That is priceless!! *** Idol judges -- Miley, Keith and Adam does not make sense to me. Seems to risky for a show with over 25% non-white viewers. I do not think they will not have a judging panel with no African American and no Latino/Latina. Not happening in 2014 US. |

ETA" And I am going to try for 4 tickets (the max as I saw somewhere). And if I can't find anyone else past me and DH that wants to come with me, I will see if any Atopers or Fans want the others. Hopefully other Glamberts lucky enough to get in the ticket Q in time will do the same. So maybe we can get tickets withing the fandom so some of us can go...
Fingers crossed Atops (and me) can get tickets:-) already told DH he is going if I can get tickets, LOL.

What's left is Radio and boy do I have good feelings about Clear Channel right now. OK so back to Titanium .. now at 993,068.. would be great to get to 995,000 or more today

So excited to see them back together again. And Cassie I agree Adam is on the Super Star status level now!
I know I'm dreaming but if there might be a special guest appearance with Queenbert maybe Bowie will come out and sing Under Pressure with Adam. He does have new music out so making a short appearance might be good PR and he could pay tribute to Freddie and Queen doing the duet with Adam. And Adam would be so excited to be on stage with Bowie! I know...I'm dreaming!

This is a total win for Adam. He and Queen probably have gotten more US press on this just so far this morning than did last year's collab. I love that it is last in the billing: "special appearance by Queen and AL." Plus, many of the performers are current hit-makers. This may bring in a audience of people who aren't the same old classic rock fans. And I hope to see an excellent tv/online version. I don't think we'll hear anything about a new label for a couple days since this just hit. Certainly DMG would spread out the goodness a bit. I'll be darned...QAL IS doing a set on iHeart! This must be a big deal festival. Never thought I'd see Queen do a set at a US festival. Great exposure for Queen and Adam. Top billing, live, TV, steaming??? Expensive tickets. My heavens. But at least they are performing in the US. ![]() ![]()  Nice seeing Adam and Sauli together enjoying the day. I agree, don't expect the label announcement now for a bit. iHeart will generate another sweet press cycle for Adam. ![]() |
