Someday someone please explain the "mashed potatoes" thing to us newbies, but in the meantime, it's a blast reading all this. Like the Adam Lambert version of the DaVinci code.

iHR streams this entire concert. And the stream was beautiful last year. They also enforce the no filming rule -- but fans still manage to get video!! Was it a video stream or just an audio stream? If video, do you know if it was in HD? Time I look into getting set up to capture online streaming. Last year the official stream was HD Video. ** Just for a bit of scale about how many people tried to get tickets -- last year fans did almost 50 Million Texts To Win Free iHeartRadio Music Festival Tickets www.clearchannel.com/Pages/Fans-Send-Nearly-50-Million-Texts-To-Win-Free-iHeartRadio-Music-Festival-Tickets.aspx 1,200 tickets were given out in last year's text to win radio promo. One idea I had but rejected is -- this is not a clue and is Adam just responding to the fans on Twitter who totally based Tommy Joe and Brian for last night's performance. Making art with the band, and the lyrics say "Meet my friends and you can join the band," I think it is a clue to the future because of the word "Remember". |

Melvin or no Melvin. I happened on a youtube of the classically gorgeous movie star Ramon Navarro, whose film career may have been been killed by rumors about his sexuality. Anyway this video shows him with and without facial hair. There is no doubt the clean face wins. I think that still holds true. I love me a scruffy-faced Adam :-) |

Oh good one!! And it is September. I think the QAL London concert will be part of the iTunes Festival. The open dates for that are Sept 1, 3, 8-10, 12-14, 19, 21, 22, 24-28 and 30. QAL is in Las Vegas on 9.20.13 so that knocks out 19, 21. But that leaves dates that work with Berlin. Berlin 9.6-9.7. London 9.8-10 Vegas 9.20. *** We also have those weird song lyrics which also refer to TREES. Seems like a odd word to use twice. |

The problem with waiting is that for we out of country, or even some distance away, there are so many other factors we have to manage such as time away, airfare and tickets [and if using air miles it is even more difficult, and usually non-refundable] ditto hotel reservations yada yada yada. Just not an option to pick up last minute tickets, or even to count on them turning up. OK...I will quit b#%@$#ing now......sigh.... too bad it really is far to early here to start drinking!! lol I'm with you mszue. I had hopes of reprising LA, but I'm not feeling lucky.  Will keep trying radio contests and checking online but this is going to be a whole different story than GNT. Five people in my world were trying and nothing came up for anyone. I won't tell anyone if you have a drink.  Thanks Winks....so was I. I can't start drinking early as I have to go down to our local 'Arts Center' and do the hair and make-up for a Drag Queen who is doing the promo for a musical review being put on in conjunction with the local Pride celebrations coming up. The review is featuring music from Birdcage, Mama Mia, and Priscilla.... it should be a complete blast. I have done lots of that sort of hair over the years but I am not a make-up artist so a little less sure of myself there. Not too concerned tho but....  seems like a good reason to delay the alcohol infused pity party. sob :( |

The song lyrics -- you remember with the TREES. ** Mashed Potatoes are an expression Adam fans use for figuring out what is going on when we have very little info. Adam often drops clues in advance. So before GLEE was announced, he posted a I message with 4 words: GUM, LISTERINE, EGGS and LANA DEL REY(whose real name is Elizabeth). which spells GLEE www.youtube.com/watch?v=HF_3a8Xe8YcMashed Potatoes is from the movie "Close Encounters" because of this scene... www.youtube.com/watch?v=yecJLI-GRuUETA: Dancy -- On last nights live stream, Brian did not sound good on backup on a few songs and at one point was louder than Adam. He was also kind of off-key at one point. (There were some sound issues or at least Adam thought so, and I think this blame should go to the sound guy.) The other criticism was about Tommy Joe -- particularly his solo on PH. It is not new, some people are not fans of this band. They were very good in Pittsburgh, OK in Del Mar but last night was a bit messed up. But these are the details that do not matter to me -- Adam was great last night. That is all I care about. There were enough for Adam to have noticed in his stream -- some were sent to him. |

My son {who lives in Oakland} and I tried to get tickets for Las Vegas this morning at precisely 10 AM from ticketmaster. All sold out in seconds!!!So disappointed-you know, that awful feeling in the pit of your stomach---but still feel quietly joyful that I have a son willing -and even excited to accompany me to see Adam.He had even purchased the airplane tickets...Oh, well-- Going to the concert is more of a fantasy than a real goal for me but I am going to watch the prices on seatgeek to see how low they will go. The JT and Jay-Z ticket prices for the their concerts in my area are really dropping weeks before the concert so there might be a good time to buy. |
