Someday someone please explain the "mashed potatoes" thing to us newbies, but in the meantime, it's a blast reading all this. Like the Adam Lambert version of the DaVinci code. The mashed potatoes come from Close Encounters of the Third Kind... like, if you play with your mashed potatoes long enough, some kind of truth will emerge from them!

Seeing Adam live is without doubt one of the MOST incredible experiences of my life. He explodes on the stage with what has got to be a superhuman voice, I mean what mere mortal can sing like that? His stage presence is likewise from another world, as is often mentioned, when he is on stage in is almost impossible to look at anyone else. Need I say handsome? He seems to emanate joy from every pour and spread it through the audience, the often mentioned aura I think. The audience adores him and he adores them back. As was said of the Del Mar concert, this was such a joyous event. The band was very good and has caught a lot of Adam's joy. Concert was great from beginning to end, highlights for me were KI, Fever,DA/WWRY, Shady and the fantastic encore. My sister, who has done none of the prep work like watching videos or listening to live streams, was in complete awe. She was amazed by his power, clarity and range and how effortless it seemed. She mentioned how nice it was to be able to understand the lyrics which has often not been the case for her. One of her favorite things was how eclectic the song choice was. Other artists she has seen had songs that all sounded more or less the same and after a few numbers they got boring and droned on. She liked how lively the concert was making it impossible to just sit, I loved that too. She liked the way he worked the entire stage and thought him very graceful. We both found him super sexy. Now I have a concert friend if another opportunity arrives. I was worrying all week that the crowd would be small, and Adam might feel sad that more people had not come out to see him, so the very respectable size of the crowd was a relief to me. It was pretty diverse with a lot of older women around us, we fit right in, but also some teens and some men. We thought the young girl behind us might expire she got so excited when he come to our side of the stage. It was a perfectly soft and gentle California night. Not hot at all hot and in fact, I had to but on my sweater between Allison's and Adam's sets. I had the pleasure of meeting Myspenser who is just as nice and warm as can be. Now that I have gone once, I really can't wait to see him live again. New goal: to share this experience with my daughter. Jean-Thanks so much for the wonderful recap. Made me feel like I was there - almost. He is so amazing, isn't he.

I think you should not worry. GLEE will go on for two more seasons. Lea seems to be calling the shots and she wants to sing with Adam. I think Adam will be cast into the NY Broadway story. Sure people on the cast, and particularly Lea, must be grieving but they also want to get back to work and get on with their lives.

hmmmm... Murphy says at least three times that they'll shoot three episodes--two of which are already written--- then do an episode that deals with "Finn's death", and then the show will go on a long hiatus. I don't know what "long hiatus" means. Weeks with no Glee? Months? jeeeeez...

I think it was the best live streamed concert I have ever heard/seen. Can you estimate the crowd size? Man, I am probably going to get slammed for this--and I am a huge fan, I promise!--but this concert seemed really off to me. I don't know if the stage was really small, if there were technical problems, if all that misty stuff in the air was something other than water vapor or what, but I didn't see the consistent energy and heard so many long moments of forgotten lyrics, off-timing, missed cues, and a general sloppiness to the whole thing. When I say "sloppy," it's from the perspective of a teacher who's graded a LOT of student work and I mean there seemed to be a lack of the tightness, preparation, enthusiasm, and care that I would expect from the biggest overachiever in the school. Admittedly, I've only been to two live concerts (the last one in Del Mar, which I thought was great), but I think I've watched them all online. SLO is my hometown, I've been to many a Mid-State Fair in Paso, and I know that arena; it's the not the best for concerts. (Just an aside, the Performing Arts Center at Cal Poly SLO would have been a great venue.) But he's played less-than-ideal venues before and he still sounded terrific. Listening to the videos of the Paso concert, I thought there were great moments, but the concert overall actually sounded more like a rehearsal to me. Granted, Adam's rehearsals and sound checks are better than most other artists performances and he really has set his own bar stratospherically high. Casting no aspersions on the man or his talent or his commitment. It's just a weird feeling to watch the videos of a concert and think it looked and sounded off and below par and then read that others thought it was the "best" on any level. If I'm the only one, I will consider getting my hearing and eyesight checked and my head examined, but I'm just curious if anyone else had any of the same impressions. I loved all the vids available- wish I could have been there. Thought the performance, vocals and looks were great. I think we see so many great performances that we tend to get blase about them. It's like eating the best chocochip cookies over and over. After awhile, no matter how spectacular, they just don't WOW us like that first one. And, as we are all individuals, various parts of a concert push our buttons differently- some like the cute and sweet. some like the sexy and some like the dorky- apples and oranges. I, for one, would never criticize your opinion. That's what makes this site so much fun We can agree to disagree- I hope.

They always do it like that . And btw , I've been trying to write my series , but when I hit the post button , I just lost everything . Argh I'm so mad .
