I really would not want to see Adam in the Freddie Mercury bio. But I am really pissed that Adam apparently wasn't even considered for the big screen musical Rob Marshall (Oscar for "Chicago") is making of Sondheim's "Into the Woods". It has an all star cast including Adam's friend, Anna Kendrick, as "Cinderella". The show has two Princes, one who marries Cinderella and one who marries Rapunzel. Adam would have made a perfect Prince. If you recall, back in 2010, Rob Marshall was quoted as saying he would love to make a movie with Adam. So I wonder if Adam's agents were even in touch with Rob Marshall, or if the fact that Adam is not considered "hot" at the moment had anything to do with being passed over. Initially, Chris Pine and Jake Gyllenhaal were being cast as Princes, but today we learned that Billy Magnussen, whom Adam recently saw on Broadway in "Vanya and Sonia and Misha and Spike" has been cast. www.deadline.com/2013/07/billy-magnussen-ventures-into-the-woods-to-replace-jake-gyllenhaal/Billy is not a big star. So you can't say that Adam is not big enough of a star to be cast. Maybe Rob (who is gay) just like's Billy's body (which is frequently on display) more than he appreciates Adam's voice. I know no one here has even mentioned the possibility of this role, as most people on this board don't seem to be into movies that much. But Adam, whom the public knows to be gay, would have made a wonderfully ironic hetero Prince. This show is all about irony, and the dark side of childrens's fairy tales. In the end, the Princes grow bored with their wives, and the fairy tale romances dissolve. Think real life: more than one woman has woken up to find her Prince Charming in love with another man.

There are two separate contests --- iHeartRadio -- this is a twitter contest. Radio Station Promos -- this is the text contests. ETA: Yes, post the clues in the clue thread it would be great. Then we will have them all together. ETA #2: Regarding Adam not doing news that wasn't his to tell -- he did a clue for Glee and that was Ryan's news to tell. The text contests are only through radio stations that are part of the iheartradio group - and there are links to the radio stations on the iheartradio web page. I believe the twitter contest was only offered on Saturday until 4 pm est and is over, unless they do another one. Does anyone know? I believe an Adam fan won this on Saturday as per twitter as I recall. Yes!! An Adam fan won the twitter contest! Maybe they will have one every Saturday?

Hmmm, I wonder if the MGM arena is hiring -- I could use a part-time job, let's see, Section A security let's say for Sep 20th and then, let's say, after a few acts, I get disillusioned and walk off the job. It could work. I tried that. I have a friend working for them and working that show. I tried to sub for someone. No dice so far. Things that we do for Adam. I know hotels usually need temp staff for special events. Knowing they will have a rare performance for Queen, pretty sure a lot of people wants to get that temp job on Friday night. I probably will do it if I live in Vegas.. ETA: Btw, I remembered we have 2 male Atop members that live in Vegas? I wonder if they will try to get tickets.

The mashed potatoes are messing with my head... I'm watching a stupid movie about aliens attacking (battleship) and a scene comes up with a small boy playing baseball as the catcher. He shows 4 fingers as a signal and I stop watching my movie to go figure out what 4 fingers mean. In Base ball:4 fingers are usually shown to communicate a change up, then google takes me to sign language. Where the 4 fingers mean B I think I will go take my meds now.

Now all we need is a keek or instagram video with Adam speaking in an English accent ..."(Joking, of course. But at this point, who knows, right?)*** I suspect many people will mention Adam, but I would guess that is the last role he would want to play. They need a really good character actor and then use Freddie's own singing voice. And this would be an instance where Mark Martel could dub where necessary since he can imitate Freddie's voice. JMHO. I would love Adam to be part of the movie soundtrack but I totally agree about not wanting him for this role. IMO Sasha Baron Cohen was a really great choice and I think it will be hard for them to find a replacement. And I guess I disagree about keeping it PG13, if that indeed is the case. Freddie was a a rockstar at a time when sex, drugs and rock and roll went hand in hand. I guess I would prefer something a little more realistic and gritty than sanitized. It could still be respectful and honor his memory while keeping it real. JMO But if you think on it, isn't that the same as saying if someone wanted to make a film of Adam's life it should focus largely on him clubbing and drugging, emphasizing the gay clubs, demo-drag rather than on the kind, fierce, generous and caring person we know him to be.....why would we want that? I think Brian and Roger are just trying to protect Freddie's legacy and I admire that.... If someone just wants to focus on the gay...let them do an unapproved version....jmho

Heathcliff, I loved reading your post. I agree that Adam should not do the Freddie movie, but I do want to see him on the big screen. Adam as a prince would be perfect. I didn't know anything about this movie or whether he was considered or not but I believe he will be sooner or later. Speaking of movies, I watched Velvet Goldmine again the other night and pictured him in all the scenes. I know he loves it and I can see why. I think he would be fabulous in something like that! Jonathon Ries Meyers (not sure if I spelled his name right) was beyond belief, he is so good!

Oh man, I didn't even know about this and now I'm sad Adam didn't get it :( lol. Yes, he would have been perfect. Maybe they just weren't sure of his acting ability yet, didn't Billy Magnussen win a Tony for his work on Broadway this year? He may have been cast for his ability rather than his body? But darn, I would have loved to see Adam in this. ETA: Billy was Tony nominated but not sure if he won
