I'm a bit surprised that Idol would go with JLo after the negative publicity of The Voice turning her down. Smacks of leftovers to me. Ryan's comment about Idol viewers being very happy with the new panel doesn't jive with JLo, Keith & JHud. Neither of the females seem to resonate with the Idol audience. Keith is fine but certainly nothing new or exciting. Oh well. I was determined not to get sucked in this time but apparently it happened without my conscious mind being involved because I find myself on the brink of being livid again if this happens. I say IF because the fat lady hasn't yet sung!! Just a hunch ,I think Idol really was in negotiations with Adam and IMHO, it fell through. I just remember reading that a couple of weeks ago they were still talking to Adam. Of course this might just be wild speculation,but suppose they were far from giving Adam what he wanted and they never brokered a deal. I mean It's possible.. right?? Now that Adam is a free man he can negotiate what he wants more easily. Just because he said he would sign on the line if offered judgeship.. suppose they offered just too little. I like the way that sounds but I just don't think Adam would turn them down. It was obvious he really wanted it. So it would have had to have been a very paltry offer for him to turn it down. And even then....He wants to help & guide these contestants and give them the benefit of his experience AND he knows the value of the exposure. So I don't think he turned it down. |

I no longer watch TV except on the internet but would like to see Adam as a mentor on Idol. That way he could touch each contestant and help them be more successful before they're in front of the judges.
Totally STOKED about the upcoming Queen + Adam Lambert set. Saw all 3 London concerts and am still checking ticket prices for Vegas. Have hotel reservations just in case ...

1. Avicii
2. Katy Perry upcoming new single on new album
3. ?

I think it's very difficult for any show to remain at the height of popularity after ten years. And now there are so many competition shows that didn't exist when Idol was new and different. I also think the market is saturated with Idols. I find it hard to even remember who the last winner is.

Here is what we really know about Idol.
1. Idol will have 3 or 4 judges.
2. There will be at least one female judge.
3. There will be at least one white/anglo judge.
4. There will be one African American judge.
Assume: They will not put 2 Idol alums on the panel.
That means that IF there are 3 judges..
AND IF the country judge is male and white....
AND IF the female judge is. not black....
Adam will not be a judge.
