Well, I am shocked. JLo again??? People were happy to see her go. And Will. I. Am is so unexciting. This panel sounds absolutely nothing like what Ryan was spouting out about in that interview. A "special year?" and "Idol fans will be happy?" I am bored just thinking about it. I hope Adam has a sizeable role on Glee; it is going to be hard to wait until January to see him, but hopefully we will get a few spoilers. Now that Idol is out of the way, I REALLY, REALLY need label news. Maybe his team was waiting until after the Idol news broke---it would good timing to lessen the blow. eta---there must be a hell of a lot of behind doors politics at Idol. JLo? Really? Sorry, but mashed potatoes aside, I doubt there is any label news to share. Yeah, I am kind of figuring that :( (which is kind of painful to think about, because imo, a major label is 100X greater than an Idol judging gig) |

I can't get too bummed out even if there is no label news either because frankly Adam has never looked happier. So whatever is going on in his career he does not seem to be stressing about it and that's all I need to know.
Q3 commented that no one had considered the sessions with Avicii were for his album and not for A3 but I always thought that it was for Avicii's album but knew there was no guarantee that the track would make the cut. I may not have commented about it but to me it was much more likely to have been a potential Avicii cut rather than being on A3 and I know I saw at least a few others comment that way on twitter. I was actually really surprised that anyone thought it might be for A3.

And now I have this horrible thought that this entire IDOL thing will happen again next year - just bleahhhhhhhh  I will blow up the world if it does I will help you. As adamme said they will use his name again and after two years of this game ehough is enough. |

Well, I am hoping that the comment about scheduling conflicts means that ADAM TURNED DOWN IDOL. Because he HAD BETTER THINGS TO DO. Things that we will like more, and will advance his career in exciting new ways. I'm choosing to see it as a win for Adam and Glamberts. (And a wise decision on Adam's part to politely say "no" to being on the Titanic as it slips into the frigid ocean.) I quite like this sentiment, Cassie! And I think you are right..his role in Glee might be more recurring than we know and it could have gotten in the way of Idol. This year Adam had choices and yes, turned Idol down because of scheduling. ![]() Whether they chose Adam or not, still think the execs are idiots. Awful panel. My sympathies to KU. |

Sorry, but mashed potatoes aside, I doubt there is any label news to share. Yeah, I am kind of figuring that :( (which is kind of painful to think about, because imo, a major label is 100X greater than an Idol judging gig) Yes, I agree. He needs a major label behind him - no way around that. |

Adams voice is tailor made to be featured vocalist on all sorts of dance and electro and hip hop artist's tracks. I honestly don't understand why he isn't, frankly. (Anyway, this was wish number 2 or 3 on my wish list for Adams career future, posted a few weeks back.  ) |

Eh, I think I am pretty much done with Idol at this point. And after two years of being "in talks" my guess is that Adam will have had enough. Taking Adam completely out of the equation, the panel this year seems so bad and uninspired and plain dull that I don't see how the show rebounds at all. They needed new, young blood---someone like Miley Cyrus or Kelly Clarkson; even Jennifer Hudson would have been more interesting. And now I'm done talking about it, lol. |
