Well, I am hoping that the comment about scheduling conflicts means that ADAM TURNED DOWN IDOL. Because he HAD BETTER THINGS TO DO. Things that we will like more, and will advance his career in exciting new ways. I'm choosing to see it as a win for Adam and Glamberts. ( And a wise decision on Adam's part to politely say "no" to being on the Titanic as it slips into the frigid ocean.)you express my thoughts so nicely ![]() ![]() ![]()  |

Me too, bb! ![]() Not meaning to be negative but the sentence: "I am excited to find a new label team who shares this vision." is troublesome because of the words "to find". If he had said I am looking forward to working with a label team, that would have been much more ambiguous. In the real sentence with the words "to find" to me says he is looking, but hasn't found one yet. Wanted to add this doesn't mean I do not think he has a new label or will have one in the not too distant future. |

Me too, bb! ![]() I've been lurking forever, and I don't want to delurk just want to bring negativity, but I'm not seeing how the last line about "finding a new label team" means that he has one lined up. I was thinking that an announcement would deflect from some dashed hopes abt the AI gig, as the Glee news did from the RCA one, but I'm thinking that the AI thing was only an illusion in the fandom and therefore there won't be label news. I can't pretend that not having a label is pretty cruddy, no matter how it's spun. Anyway, what is this about Glee not starting until January? I saw the "long hiatus" news by Ryan Murphy. Was this always the case? Or is it a response/regrouping to deal with Cory Monteith's passing? |

I agree, Adam is fine and happy. He does not fake it that well. ** Regarding Avicii -- perhaps someone posted it but all the posts I can find assumed it was an A3 demo session. And why not? April was before Avicii's album was announced -- WMU was released in June, 2013. Before that "Levels" and "I Could Be the One" were US Club hits -- no way to know that WMU was going to be so big. I can only speak for myself, with all the news and drama -- RCA, iHeartRadio MF/Queen, Glee, Idol -- I forgot about the deleted tweet about Avicii. In addition, I certainly had no idea Adam had separated from RCA in April. Because there is no chance they would let him do that collaboration. Finally, just to close the loop on one more unresolved item -- the LifeBall song release approval issue must have been Adam since he was no longer under the RCA contract. My guess is he knew LMD was coming and did not want to muck it up. Very smart. Just to clarify I know Avicii's album hadn't been announced but Nile had been tweeting already about working with Avicii on his album project so to me it felt like Nile bringing Adam in to sing on something they were working on for Avicii and that's exactly what Nile said happened. Maybe you had missed Nile's comments about the Avicii work. When Nile had tweeted about meeting up with Adam in LA a lot of fans were hoping it was about working on A3 but most of Nile's tweets were about sessions with Avicii. I thought then it was much too early in the A3 timeline to think it was an A3 session though I had hopes they were at least exploring the possibility. Then Nile tweeted something about inviting Adam to come hang with CHIC and write tunes so I figured they hadn't gotten as far as writing for A3. No I was aware of Avicii's upcoming album in January 2013 -- and he talked about working with Nile on it in Feb 2013 maybe sooner. But the worldwide release was not announced until May 1, 2013. Until then, it looked like a EU-focused project. I did not know that Adam could work on a UMG project because I thought he was still with RCA at the end of April when the Nile tweets and the deleted Avicii reference tweet happened. Adam was working on his new album, and his twitter profile said he was working on his new album, and we had at least 2 other Adam collaborations from earlier in April, I figured he was working on demos his new album. Regarding the timing of working on the new album, as early as Sept 2012 Adam said he was going to start working on his new album. And it is not at all unusual for an artist to prepare demos as part of option renewal discussions. ** Setting my lack of vision aside, that was not my point. My point was, something was staring right at us and yet fans did not see it because we were focused on Idol drama. JMHO YMMV. |

Outside of core Adam fans, Adam not getting a judge slot is not news because they were not aware of the rumors and speculation. Glee always takes production hiatuses. They shoot a block of shows, take a hiatatus while they write new shows, then have another production session. The only GLEE show that was cancelled is the 1 show of the season 9/18/13 was pushed back 1 week to 9/25/13 due to Cory's death. The break for the Major League Baseball playoffs was always on the schedule and is not new. Finally, on the label, Adam will certainly be signed to a label. This is not a question. And yes, the RCA news was sandwiched between the covers rumor and Glee news, and the iHR Music Festival/QUEEN announcement. |
