At the beginning of that interview video he's talking about Glee isn't he? He says something like he has no indication, no clue what he's doing, he's waiting on pins and needles like everyone else. Is that what he was saying, that he doesn't know his role yet?

Why depressed? Because it detracts from Adam's good looks, and it adds 10 years. Adam already has the older women, so not a problem with that demographic. But i would be surprised if young women like it. And gay men hate a mustache. It is considered 70's, sleazy and unwholesome. I just can't see this look helping to add fans when he appears on "Glee" - and isn't that the purpose of being on "Glee"? "Lovelace" is the bio of Linda Lovelace, the pornstar of the 70s. I don't see anyone notable outside the stars of the film attending. So I wonder why Adam would bother. To me, it just makes him appear desperate. Every gay man I know (and that's a lot) likes facial hair. Maybe they like the tickle... #justsayin

To me, generally, Adam's facial hair makes him look more intense, mature, and mysterious. I think it looks fantastic. Without it, generally, I think he looks more sweet, open, and younger.. I like to ponder over why he might be enjoying this particular look right now, whether it's 'cuz of however he is feeling or if it is for his glee part. Or if he just wants to because - he wants to. His face is so amazing, most of the time my thought really is just, " Wow." Six of one, half a dozen of another. Same with his hair. However he wears it, I pretty much just marvel at it. I love when he does the red carpet stuff because he totally gives the photographers the model looks and poses but at the same time is so accommodating, friendly, kind of tongue-in-cheek and non-egotistical about it all. I totally agree with bridget When Adam shows up all photographers and the audience pay attention to him and shout Adam, Adam, ... I love it so much. Adam dresses up very stylish nowadays. He seems to be mature and very confident and at the same time he can be very amusing

There are few things I ever feel certain about but I am very certain Adam was hired for Glee so that he can sing on Glee. If he were "Nicky," though, he would really be the playing the actor who would be playing "Nicky," wouldn't he? So, just like Lea wouldn't only sing "Fanny" songs, if the story is that she gets the part, Adam too could sing any song that was related to the episode's story/theme. Does that sound right? Sure does. He can be the big Broadway star who takes newbie Rachel under his wing and mentors her. He acts as a vocal coach, singing Fanny's great songs to demonstrate how it should be done, and how she can nail them. Or he could be appearing in another show at the moment, or a musical revue that Rachel attends, opening up endless possibilities for songs. It could definitely work.

For what it's worth, when I attended the Pittsburg concert this summer, I was in the 2nd row directly in front of Adam's mic and I would have sworn Adam was clean shaven. Another fan and I were shocked when we viewed the videos of the concert and saw Melvin in the vids. I have no real explanation for why we missed seeing Adam's Melvin that night. It could have been the 15+ hours in a line waiting to see Adam after a long dry spell since our last live concert. It could have been his rational exuberance on stage that night - he was definitely on fire and all we noticed was his happy attitude and his take charge confident performance. It could have been his natural beauty just blinded us. It could have been that we love Adam in whatever form we find him and reality becomes blurred. Hey, you must have been right in front of me!! Actually I was 4th row dead center.

Every gay man I know (and that's a lot) likes facial hair. Perhaps some gay men, like some straight women, prefer clean shaven while others prefer facial hair. I know my preference is clean shaven. I have been with the same guy for 34 years and minus maybe one year he has had a mustache. Oh well, I guess there are other things there that make me overlook his 'stache. I can't say I like much about Adam's look tonight. I do believe it is fitting for this movie premier, porn sleaze. I did find myself soften a bit when he smiled, laughed or made a silly face. I am still a fan, just won't save any pics from this red carpet. There have been several photos with the facial hair have that have made me drool though. So there is more to it than that.
