Thanks, Mys*&@^#r, for the Soundcloud link to LWOG!!! As cheesy as I think the name and lyrics are (mostly)...it was just great to hear a clean cut of this song! It would be club stomper for sure. I can't remember timelines..could one of the reasons Adam didn't want it released is because of the RCA situation? His Avicii/Nile collab happened when? Dates, I cannot remember dates. argh. Seemed like quite a time lapse between LifeBall and the collab, but, then again, I thought yesterday was Monday, so there ya go...

OMG those eyes...I'll compromise, Adam. You put on a leetle bit of eyeliner to pop those baby blues out and you can keep that trimmed Melvin with my blessings.... Deal.

Nile Avicii song was recorded 4/28-29. Lifeball was end of May, our Memorial Day weekend. I just love hearing Adam's voice on a new song. I am somewhat addicted to his voice!

I think Adam may eventually work his way back to musical theater, but he left because he was bored with it. Not having a major role, not being appreciated or promoted was only part of the problem. In the theater, you have to say the same lines and sing the same songs the same way 8 times a week. The TV series gives Adam more variety, more opportunities, and a bigger audience.
If Glee gives Adam an inch, he'll be selecting the wardrobe, rearranging the songs, and directing the staging.
Oh, so right you are, 4M's..
Can I have page 9 all to myself since I seem to be headed that way with my blatherings... ETA: I have company!! YAY.. Mys*&@^#r! I, too, am addicted to Adam's singing. Guess that's why I landed here in the first place. Adam is one intriguing guy, but it's always been about THE VOICE for me. Even with Velveeta...

Yes, I agree. I am really looking forward to hearing the rest of this album because I suspect that they did not lead with her strongest track. That will be #2 or #3 -- or at least that is what they certain hope to achieve. I'm a Katy fan too, but it seems so stinkin unfair - Adam could have had some hits off of Trespassing if damn radio had played his songs. Cuckoo could have broke big, IMO. Others of his songs could have been hits too if sung by a radio darling. I don't know - the whole radio game drives me crazy - and the fact that radio can make you or break you for sales, concerts, name recognition, etc. Why does Adam have to work a hundred times as hard to be heard. DAMN! I think people do not give Katy Perry credit for how smart, talented and hard-working she is because she dresses it up in a nice-girl package. She was not made by some radio exec. Setting katy aside, many people in the music business work really hard and are really talented and get no fame or money. Adam has a top 10 hit song in the US -- and that is something. Finally, I am a fan of "Cuckoo" and picked it as "the single" from Trespassing from my first listen -- but that does not mean it would have been a hit -- with or without massive airplay.

But not everything they sing on the show is from a high selling artist. They have had opera/boradway musical songs too. So I could see them doing maybe 1 of Adam's songs if it fits in, but only if it really fits the script. I don't see them doing a whole show dedicated to Adam's songs, at least not this season. Didn't that We Are Young song become popular after Glee covered it? en.wikipedia.org/wiki/We_Are_YoungWhy couldn't they do the same with Cuckoo? We Are Young had a blip up after Glee covered it, but became a hit because it was featured in a Superbowl commercial. And regarding Cuckoo -- forget about it. There will be no new singles from Trespassing and that era is over. Adam has moved on. We are very lucky to have "Love Wins Over Glamour" and LMD. And I am sure that we have more new music to come. ETA: 4Msrmyn I completely agree about Glee.

ETA: 4Msrmyn I completely agree about Glee. Still wonder though if it would have been featured in the Superbowl at all if the Glee version did not do well on the charts. From the wiki, it still seems as though Glee was the precursor to it becoming a big hit. However, it was soon covered by the television show Glee. With the Glee version having success on the charts, the song was licensed for use in a Chevrolet Sonic commercial that aired during Super Bowl XLVI.
